Today (19), during the event taking place in São Paulo, OPPO held the launch of Reno7, the brand's first smartphone to arrive in Brazil. It is a mid-ranger with an ultra-thin design and the world's first to use the sensor. Sony IMX709 on the front camera.

Another great highlight is its finish, called OPPO Reno Glare, which gives a different shine to the back of the smartphone and makes it very beautiful.

Get to know OPPO

A OPPO was founded in 2004 in China and its first product was an MP3 player. In 2008 they launched their first smartphone, called Smiley Face. The company started to stand out in 2011 when they launched the first device in the line Find, with support from Leonardo DiCaprio as ambassador.

In 2013 was when they finally launched the coloros, the brand's own operating system based on Android. In the following years and to date, in addition to technology VOOC for fast charging that revolutionized this department, the company became the 4th largest smartphone manufacturer in the world.

O OPPO Reno7 arrives in Brazil in two colors, Aurora Blue e cosmic black. The blue has a color changing effect on the back and the black is kind of matte, making both options very beautiful.

On the back where we have the cameras, there's what they call orbital light around one of the lenses, which lights up every time we have a new notification. The body of the device is actually quite thin at just 7,49 mm thick and 175g in weight.

On the sides there is the power button on the right and the volume buttons on the left. At the bottom we only have the USB-C input and the speaker output, which unfortunately is not stereo.

Fabric

The screen OPPO Reno7 is 6,4″ with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz responsiveness rate. Its resolution is Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) and reaches up to 600 nits of maximum brightness.

She still has Gorilla Glass 5 for protection and IPX4 to resist water jets in case of accidents. As it relies on AMOLED technology, the Always On Display will work great here and the front camera is just a little hole in the top left.

Performance and ColorOS

O OPPO Reno7 it has a very good configuration for an intermediate, what I call the minimum for survival nowadays. The processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 of 6 nm. To help with day-to-day tasks, we have 6 GB of RAM – with 5 more of the RAM expansion with storage – and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

This kit will make the smartphone remain stable in the most varied tasks without asking for help. Although this is not the focus, you will still be able to enjoy some games without problems, as long as you are not so demanding with the graphics.

The operating system here is Android, but with the interface developed by OPPO, called coloros. This system is one of the most modified of Android, being a love it or hate it therefore. It's colorful and cartoonish and offers a plethora of features that we don't often see around.

What you can expect is a system that will allow you to customize every part of the system. You can even create your own smartphone ringtones and wallpapers (something we've already seen on really UI). Finally, the coloros it's a feature-packed OS, but one that requires you to get used to it.

Cameras

O OPPO Reno7 stands out for having a top-of-the-line camera on the front. The manufacturer highlights that this is the first smartphone to receive the sensor SONY IMX709. It ensures that more light enters the lens, allowing images to always be sharp and beautiful.

In addition, it has the sensor OPPO RGBW, which is different from the standard RGB, introduces more light-sensitive white pixels and still captures 60% more light. The front camera still has HDR aided by Artificial Intelligence and bokeh flare which according to the company, is worthy of a DSLR camera.

As for the rear camera, we have a triple kit with 64MP on the main one, ensuring more details and light in the photos. The second sensor is 2MP and is microscopic. Despite being a novelty on smartphones, this function is very interesting and allows you to zoom up to 30x on small things, reaching incredible details.

Finally, we have the last sensor of only 2MP, for depth and aid in the bokeh effect.

Battery

O OPPO Reno7 It has a 4500mAh battery. This number is the minimum for a current smartphone, but the highlight is its 33W charging with the technology SUPERVOOC that guarantees 30% battery life in just 15 minutes.

Price and availability

O OPPO Reno7 will start to be sold from Monday (26), on Amazon and Vivo stores. The device can be purchased at pre-order for R$ 2.999 on Amazon. OPPO informs that the devices will have a five-year warranty if purchased by December 31, 2022.
