Official portal of the Brazilian Federal Government, the page gov.br it was considered the most accessed government website in the world, with more than 150 million users. The estimate was published on the website Similarweb, known for analyzing and ranking access to websites and applications from different categories.
With more than two thousand integrated systems, running through 500 servers, the portal gov.br records, on average, around four thousand hits per second, making life easier for Brazilians in accessing and researching public services.
The success of the page
Ranking the five most accessed government websites, the Gov.br access page takes first place. Then, two access pages to the British government website appear. Fourth, the Turkish government's access page and, fifth, the official page of the government of the State of São Paulo.
Analyzing the profile of visitors to the government portal, Similarweb also presents a graph, showing the age and gender of the majority of users on the page.
As you can see in the graph below, the portion of the population between 25 and 34 years old makes up the largest portion of visitors to the site. At 54,81%, women are the majority of the total number of visitors.
Providing access to more than 4.200 services, the site was listed as the most accessed in the world in the 'Government' category. Brazil, of course, had a huge margin as the country with the highest number of accesses to the Gov.br page. However, it was not the only one. Similarweb also detected access from several countries, such as the United States, Portugal, Canada, Argentina, Angola, among others.
GOV.BR is developed to make people's lives easier, to avoid unnecessary trips to access services that can already be used digitally. This result shows how much the Brazilian population has already included GOV.BR in their daily lives, using it to simplify their routine.

As already mentioned, the gov.br list 4200 government services online so that the population can be served without leaving home. Free of charge, the federal government platform covers services from a wide range of areas, such as education, work, economy, social rights, Federal Revenue, health, among others.
It is through the Gov.br page that ENEM, Fies, Digital Traffic Card, Meu SUS Digital, Sougov (exclusive for federal public servants), eSocial and military documents can be accessed. The newly released Unified National Public Tender, popularly known as “ENEM dos Concursos”, asked for the account gov.br for registration of interested participants.
Accessibility

A website that serves more than 150 million people needs to prioritize user accessibility on the platform. Thinking about people with disabilities (PWD), the website allows download certificates proving the citizen's status. In addition, the site has an 'Accessibility Resources' tab, with booklets, automatic accessibility validators, as well as browser extenders, to help navigate the site. - Gold Level: To reach the highest level, confirmation by facial recognition, carried out by the application, is required to check your photo at the Electoral Court (TSE) databases, or validation from the QR Code of your National Identity Card, or with a Digital Certificate compatible with ICP-Brazil (Brazilian Public Key Infrastructure), which regulates digital certifications.
