Congratulations! Google Play turns 5 years old today; see the most downloaded apps

A Google Play Store is completing your 5th anniversary today. In day March 6th, 2012 it was opened for users Android could enjoy applications, games, movies, series, music and books all in one place, which, after being downloaded, could be used on the laptop, on the TV or wherever the user wanted.

In five years, the Google Play has more than 1 billion active users in 190 countries. And the numbers are impressive, as there are millions of applications, 40 million songs and 5 million books. All this made the Play Store become one of the most important platforms for distributing content from developers to the rest of the world.

Whether on smartphone, tablet, Chromebook or smartwatch, the Google Play Store has become an important part of Android users' lives. Because these contents are available in so many places, they ended up modifying our devices (such as TVs, watches and cell phones). Today, it's impossible to think of a world without apps.
