With the announcement this last Thursday (14th) the philco and Roku bring to Brazilian consumers the line Philco RokuTV. As can be expected, smart TVs have the Roku operating system and allow access to a catalog with more than 100.000 programs, including movies and series, included in the 5 channels available through the platform.
The launch screen sizes range from 32, 42, 50 (this one, now on sale online) and 58 inches. The two smaller versions are in HD and Full HD resolution, respectively, while the two larger sizes have 4K Ultra HD resolution. All support sound technology Dolby Audio that transmits the sound of the movie or video reproduced in 5.1 channel and the 4K models also have HDR10 technology.
In addition to the free Pluto TV and Vix channels, you can enjoy the most popular subscription services today, such as Netflix, Disney +, balloon play, Prime Video e HBO Go. The Philco RokuTV in 4K version also support Apple AirPlay 2 e HomeKit, where you can stream content directly from the device iOS and control them by voice.
Among the highlights of Philco Roku TV, we have the unification of entertainment options (streaming, cable/satellite, antenna on a single home screen) thanks to the very refined Roku OS, in its latest version. Because of this, Philco Roku TV even brings the opportunity to search by titles or actors in a cast for easy access to the content you want – instead of having to manually search which service a movie is available on.
“Since we entered the market a year ago, we have been very pleased with the growth of the Roku brand in Brazil, and now, from the partnership with Philco, we will be able to expand our product portfolio with 4K streaming so that consumers can enjoy an easy-to-use, high-definition entertainment experience at a fair price.”
Arthur van Rest, Vice President International at Roku
The smart TV can also be controlled directly from the phone, thanks to Roku's dedicated app for Android and iOS. This does not dispense with the use of the included remote control, of course. Thanks to the smartphone connection, the system can transmit audio directly to headphones connected to the device, which ends up being ideal for those who want privacy when watching something in shared environments.
A Philco RokuTV de 50 inches has a quad-core processor, triple-core GPU is already on sale in online stores, such as Showmetech's official store at Magazine LuizaBy 2.849,05 BRL, a value lower than the suggested launch price. Recalling that Roku arrived in Brazil recently with its Roku Express, device in direct competition to Chromecast.
