What is Pinokio
O Pinocchio, Also known as Pinokio Computer ou Pinokio AI Browser, goes beyond being just a browser with AI. He is one virtual computer that allows you to automate any task performed by humans on a computer. This tool has become the gateway to the world of advanced artificial intelligence for users of all knowledge levels.
It is a complete open source virtual machine, with file system, processor, memory and APIs (Application Programming Interface), allowing different applications and systems to “talk” to each other.
Within the Pinocchio, it all comes down to scripts, which are simple command lines that automate tasks. These scripts, called JSON Script, are already available and ready for immediate use, but if you have technical knowledge, you can also create your own.
Explaining a little more, the JSON Scripts are special text files that store information organized in a format called JSON (JavaScript Object Notation). It is a format considered easy to read and understand, widely used on the internet and in API services to represent and transmit data in a simple and effective way.

What Pinokio can do
With Pinocchio, you can easily install, run and automate various AI applications and models, endpoints, servers, databases, bots and autonomous agents on your computer, even without advanced technical knowledge.
Some software does not have a graphical interface and is controlled by text commands in a terminal, called applications CLI (Command Line Interface). As Pinocchio, you can run these CLI applications in the browser, eliminating the need to learn how to use the terminal or deal with complex configurations.
For example, if you want to install and use a artificial intelligence on your computer as the new version 2.2.1 of FaceFusion, which swaps faces in videos, will need to perform some complicated steps.
This includes opening the terminal, getting the AI application code from the internet, probably from a repository where developers store and share their code, such as GitHub. After that, you would have to install a few pieces of software using something called Conda, a tool that facilitates the installation of programs and libraries.
And finally, I would need to use a command called “pip install” to install specific pieces of software in the programming language Python.
These steps can be complicated and time-consuming, especially for those who don't have much technical experience, and that's where the Pinocchio, which does all this for you with just one click!
Furthermore, the Pinocchio simplifies the process of starting servers for different applications, from databases like Elasticsearch and MongoDB, even artificial intelligence servers like StableDiffusion Web UI and decentralized applications, such as Bitcoin. Its automation capacity ranges from simple to complex tasks, such as installing libraries and browsing the internet, all autonomously.
O Pinocchio is useful for a variety of users, from beginners to professionals in different fields. It can automate processes in code creation, data analysis, customer support, and more, improving efficiency and saving time.
How to install Pinokio
The installation of the Pinocchio too easy! First, go to the website pinokio.computer. And then click on the “Download".
In the next window, choose your computer's operating system. O Pinocchio is multiplatform and has an installer for Windows, MacOS e Linux.
On the next screen, click on the “Click to Download Pinokio for (your operating system)” to download the ZIP file which contains the installer of Pinocchio.
After downloading, open the ZIP file and extract the installation executable file. Go to the folder and click on the file you extracted to open the installer. On the first installer screen, click the “Save“, as in the image below. If you prefer, you can change the installation folder in the “HOME".
Done! Pinocchio is already installed. On the home screen, click the “Visit Discover Page” to use the browser.
On the browser screen Pinocchio, you can download a script via an internet link using the button “Download from URL“, or search the list of automations verified and suggested by the platform.
How to install AIs on Pinokio
To install AIs locally, simply select or search for an AI application through the browser. Pinocchio. For example, I selected the FaceFusion 2.2.1. Double click to open the next screen.
On the next screen, click on the “Download" to begin.
The next step the Pinocchio shows all installation automation tasks required for the FaceFusion on your computer. Click on the button "“Install” to start the process. This process will be different and time-consuming depending on the application you select and the resources you have on your computer.
Now, the Pinocchio is performing installation and configuration automatically. During the first few installations, your operating system may request permission to access resources essential to the process, such as the command terminal and security permissions to write to the disk. Just accept to proceed.
Watch the magic happen: the Pinocchio will open your terminal and start the installation automatically, allowing you to follow each of the tasks being performed in the lower left corner of the screen. In my case, it was necessary to install the Visual Studio and several other features. This installation step can be time-consuming, especially for the first AI models on your computer.
After the entire installation, a “Install complete” appears, click the “Done” to return to the browser.
When returning to the browser, notice in the application's right side menu if there is the option “Install“, if it appears. Click to install any missing feature. When finished, press the “OK".
After the entire installation is carried out, the application will be ready to use, just select the option “Launch default” so that the Pinocchio start the server. This step can also be time-consuming, depending on the application and your computer's resources.
After the server starts, simply select “Launch session” to start the application on the server.
Okay, the latest version of FaceFusion is already installed and running on your computer!
To close the application, return to the server terminal by selecting the option “Server & Hosting” and then press the “Stop".
O Pinocchio it is a very new tool that has just left its beta phase and will still receive updates and improvements. Here are some helpful tips for first-timers:
- If the steps are not completed during the installation of resources, it is recommended to delete the installation of the Pinocchio and reinstall it in a different folder.
- If you are using the Windows, be sure to run the Pinocchio with Administrator permissions.
- It is important to note that although some scripts promise easy one-click installation, sometimes you may need to install additional features even after the initial process is considered complete.
