In addition to the first flying bike, we also talk about dinosaur fossils in the countryside of SP and also show a drone race. Check out!

No Showmetech TRIO this week, we will present a video talking about fossils of a dinosaur that were found in the interior of São Paulo; We will also address a curious drone race; and we will show the world's first flying bike. Come check out with us the highlights of the week with the Showmetech TRIO!

Dinosaur fossils in SP

Occasionally, we read news stories about scientists and explorers finding dinosaur fossils around the world and helping us to better understand the past. The prehistoric records of the time are right here, on national land.

Identified as an early dwarf form of sauropods, the fossils of this creature were found in the interior of São Paulo, in a city called Ibira. Baptized Silly Ibirania, the dinosaur measured between 5 and 6 meters, from the snout to the tip of the tail.

The finding was published September 15 in the journal Ameghinian, describing it as one of the smallest long-necked dinosaur species ever identified in the world. This is quite curious, because the other known sauropods are famous for being the tallest animals that ever walked on dry land.

Other similar fossils have already been found in Argentina, such as the patagotitan and argentinosaurus, giants that could exceed 30 meters in length.

drone racing

A novelty that has been pleasing many people is the use of drones in different activities. Most of these devices become tools for aerial photo and video recordings. But, as it is a flying device that travels short distances, it is clear that they have even tried to create a drone racing league.

And it's not just any race, we're talking about the Drone Racing League, a professional race for tech lovers. In fact, the league was founded seven years ago, but with investment from sponsors, technological advances such as 5G, and the popularization of devices, the competition is taking on a new lease of life.

Those interested in participating in the drone race can apply for the DRL Academy, a kind of course that teaches people to fly drones through simulators that can be used at home.

Drones are already gaining traction in commercial spaces. In June, Amazon began testing drone delivery services, starting with customers in lockeford, and many startups are working to make drones highly utilized for other deliveries. They have not yet been widely popularized in humanitarian spaces, but there is still hope that this will change.

Think of the Drone Racing League like any other professional global sports property. The difference is that we are a technology-based sport, truly tailor-made for this next generation and developing the new playing field of sports. We want to help this next generation really think about other career opportunities in the sport. If they want to be professional athletes, now they can be professional drone pilots too.

1st flying bike in the world

And speaking of flying equipment, this time we are going to talk a little about the XTourism, the world's first flying bicycle. Presented at the event Detroit Auto Show, the XTurismo is capable of flying for up to 40 minutes and reaching at least 100 km/h.

This bike uses two large central rotors powered by a gasoline-powered 228 horsepower Kawasaki motorcycle performance engine. There are also four smaller electrical support rotors, which are also placed on the outer edges of the vehicle to provide stability.

Unfortunately, there is still no electric version of the vehicle, but studies and projects are being worked on to make this happen as soon as possible. The bike's body is made of carbon fiber, weighing 299 kg, and is approximately 3,65 meters long.

A XTourism is already on sale in Japan, and there is a forecast to make a smaller version available in the United States in 2023 by US$ 777.000, something around of R$4.111.000 in direct conversion. And another even smaller model, but this time electric, is also in the company's plans. The delivery forecast is for 2025, costing US$ 50.000, or about R$265.000 in direct conversion.
