It's time to watch! First trailer for Power Rangers released

The film is inspired by the classic television franchise of Super sentai da Saban which has been on the air since 1993 (in Brazil since 1994, on the Fox channel, and in 1995 on open TV), when it debuted with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

In the film we will see a kind of retelling of the original story, where 5 young people - Jason, Zack, Kimberly, Billy and Trini, become super powerful warriors who protect the Earth from the evil Rita Repulsa, played by the beautiful actress Elizabeth banks (The Hunger Games, Pitch Perfect 2).

Unlike the original story, young people discover the coins of power and their powers, sort of "alone", without the help and recruitment of Zodon and your assistant Alpha 5. Zordon will be played by Bryan Cranston, the unforgettable Mr. Breaking Bad's White/Heisenberg and Alpha 5 has not been confirmed.

In the trailer we see a little bit of this discovery of powers, coins, Rita Repulsa, all that was missing was the sparks, and the iconic phrase: “It's time to morph”. Watch the trailer, in English, still without subtitles:
