August's PS Plus games have been officially confirmed by Sony. The novelty is that from July, the three free games will be offered as a subscription bonus Essentials of the service, the tier with less benefits from the new PlayStation subscription program – although those who use Extra or Premium can also redeem the titles.
In August 2022, the three free titles for subscribers will be Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 e Little Nightmares. Check out more information about them below:
Yakuza: Like a Dragon
Leading the August titles, we have Yakuza: Like a Dragon, eighth game in the franchise of thrillers Japanese games from Sega and the first to be a turn-based RPG. The game tells the exciting story of Ichiban Kazuga, a member of a Yakuza family who, for the sake of his boss, is imprisoned for 10 years – but when he finds himself free, he finds a very different world.
Both the PS4 and PS5 versions of Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be given out on August's PS Plus. In addition, Extra and Premium subscribers will have access, until the end of the year, to the other titles in the franchise, starring Kiryu.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2
The PS1 classic got a remastered version in 2020, and PS Plus subscribers in August will now be able to explore the world of skateboarding created under the name of one of the greatest athletes in the category's history for free.
The game has all the stages and missions present in the first two PS1 titles, but with the latest generation graphics, including an upgrade to PS5 available and included in the subscription.
Little Nightmares
Little Nightmares completes the trio of free games offered by PS Plus. The game is a horror narrative that puts players in the role of young Six, who tries to escape from a place where his childhood fears take shape and try to take over his mind.
The game uses an interesting mix of a more horror-focused aesthetic along with children's scenes, and it's a nice addition to PS Plus subscribers in August.
How to redeem the August PS Plus games

Free PS Plus games can be accessed by anyone who has an active subscription to the PlayStation service, as long as it is within the period in which the games will be available. The three current plans available in Brazil (Essentials, Extra and Premium) can redeem the games, which are available within a month.
