Nowadays the best way to listen to your favorite songs, both old and new, is certainly via some music service. streaming. But, among so many offers, prices and features, which one stands out? We will talk about which best music streaming we have in 2021. Do you already have one? Come see with us!
What is music streaming?
When we refer to any “streaming” service, we mean that that platform will offer a catalog of something that can be consumed online — and sometimes even offline. In this case, we are talking about streaming of music, that is, programs and/or applications that stream music. CDs, Singles, discographies, soundtracks… usually all this type of content can be found on services of streaming of music.
I say “generally” because sometimes one or another platform does not have a title, either because it is a little more unknown, or because the artist has decided not to grant his work to that platform. There are several reasons, but not all services of streaming have all the existing songs.

The way to listen to music a few years ago was to buy CDs and play it on a player, like CD player, stereo, DVD ou BlueRay, and this ended up consuming some space, physical, including for consumers. Aiming at the comfort that the internet provides, it is now possible to just subscribe to one of the streaming available, and consume all the artistic material of your favorite singers, bands or ensembles.
In addition to, of course, not having to separate a space to store your CDs — despite being a very cool practice for decoration, especially for those who lived through that time — you still save money: instead of buying CD by CD, you pay a monthly amount to listen to all the material contained therein.
And since you have several of these apps, which one would be the best? streaming of music? Let's check it out now!
Spotify
Starting our list on which is the best streaming of music, we'll talk about one of the most popular and well-known music apps. streaming. O Spotify is already in the lives of many people around the world today. Officially launched in 2008, Spotify offers a catalog full of options in all possible genres, with around 70 million songs, including other services such as audiobooks (books told in a narrated way) and podcasts (programs where people get together and discuss some topic).
Features
At first, Spotify's interface, both for desktop and mobile app, can be a little confusing, but as you use it, the adaptation ends up happening. When you find a song you like, you can click on the heart next to the song's name, and by doing that, you're saving that track as one of your "Liked Songs“, that is, by enjoying the songs through this heart, you gather all your favorites in one place.
Now, if you are adept at playlists, the application also leaves something to be desired. In this case, you can create your own, inserting the songs you would like to make up this list, give it a name and that's it! If it's a playlist you share with your friends, for example, you can make it "collaborative manner.“, giving anyone the opportunity to insert new music into it. If you don't have one and are tired of your music, Spotify has a flood of them, whether they're from the app or made by other users. You can also add them to your library.

Those who use the desktop version will also be able to notice a column on the right side called “friends activity“. Once you link your Facebook account to Spotify, it will suggest you to add your contacts from the social network, or if you prefer, you can add people by searching for them in the option “Search“, which serves both to search for people to add, as well as songs, albums, etc. O friends activity shows what your contacts are listening to or what they've been listening to last, and if you're interested in a track, just click on it to immediately check out that song.
Another really cool thing that Spotify offers is the Retrospective on your profile. Every year the application gathers several very interesting statistics about what was most listened to on your profile: which track was most played, the most listened to album, the artist that was most played, among other curiosities.
Audio quality
For those who are more assiduous about the quality of the songs or podcasts played, Spotify offers a satisfactory quality, not being a bad experience for those who listen — and even those who are more strict about it don't feel that much difference. At free accounts play in browser at 128 kbit/s, in low quality at 24 kbit's, in normal quality at 96 kbit/s and in high quality at 160 kbit/s.
Already in the premium accounts, the platform offers 256kbit/s in the browser, in low quality 24kbit/s, in normal quality 96kbit/s, in high quality 160kbit/s and in very high quality 320kbit/s. That is, the higher the amount of kbit/s, the better the quality of the audio reproduced. Remembering that the quality is determined by the user in the application settings.
Connectivity

As the service of streaming most popular today, Spotify ends up having a lot of connectivity between devices and third-party applications. For example, if you want to post on Instagram Stories listening to some music, just open the app on your smartphone, click on the three dots, Share and choose the Instagram icon. Other devices such as Apple Watch, already have Spotify natively offering more convenience to the user, not to mention the high integration that Spotify has with these other resources.
Values
You can use Spotify for free. In this mode, you can enjoy songs, create playlists and listen to podcasts normally, however, ads will be played between songs and you will have a daily limit to skip tracks. Currently, Spotify has four ways for you to access its content without advertising ads, which is the most important thing when subscribing to the service. These plans are called Premium, among the options offered are:
- Individual: this plan is designed for one person, it removes ads, it is possible to download music for offline listening, you can skip tracks as many times as you want. If you are a new user, you can use Spotify for three months until you start paying the monthly fee. Plan only available for one account. Value: R$19,90 monthly;
- Duo: in this option it is possible to link up to two accounts to be Premium, as long as these people live together (the prerequisite is that they have the same address). In addition to the same benefits of the Premium Individual plan, here it is also possible to access the Duo Mix, a playlist containing the most listened to songs from both accounts. If you are a new user, you can use Spotify for a month until you start paying the monthly fee. Value: R$24,90 monthly;
- Family: the Family offer can have up to six Premium accounts, and in addition to the basics — seen in Individual — here there is also the “Family Mix”, a playlist containing the most listened to songs by all participants, it is also possible to block songs with explicit content and also Spotify Kids, a separate application aimed at children. If you are a new user, you can use Spotify for a month until you start paying the monthly fee. Value: R$34,90 monthly;
- Stadium: This offer offers the Premium plan for a single account, if the owner is studying a higher education course and the college is recognized by Spotify. Just send a student declaration to the platform and be able to access the plan. This plan is the same as the Individual plan. If you are a new user, you can use Spotify for three months until you start paying the monthly fee. Value: R$9,90 monthly.
Deezer

Spotify's competitor in Brazil, the Deezer It's also a great service to listen to your music — but can it be considered the best service? streaming of music? The application was officially launched in 2007 in almost 200 countries, and the platform still has a collection of more than 70 million songs, including podcasts and other audio. Currently the TIM has a partnership with Deezer.
Features
Not unlike Spotify, Deezer also has the feature to enjoy songs so you can gather them all in one place, but here they will be in the place called “dearest“. When accessing the dearest, you can find all the songs that you clicked in the heart and saved here, being able to enjoy as you wish. You still see a big button, the “HEAR“, which can be triggered to play all your liked songs at random.
As playlists also work as previously mentioned: you can create your own according to the theme or set of songs you want, or even search for playlists on the platform — whether playlists that Deezer created itself, or from other users — and favorite them, just click in the heart that appears on the cover so that it stays in your library.

A feature that Spotify took several years to implement, recently added and that exists in Deezer natively, is the song lyrics. In both its desktop and mobile versions, it is possible to access the lyrics of the songs, if they have been provided by the artist, and follow along while listening to the music. In the smartphone application you can still share a selected excerpt on the Stories of Instagram, and the background art will be something related to the track, subjectively. That can make you the best streaming music for some people.
There is a tab titled “My MP3“, in which you can upload any song or audio you have to the platform, in MP3 format, and save it online. That way you will have easy access to that file without having to take up space or risk losing it in any formatting etc. Were you listening to a track and forgot to get the name of the song? Okay, click "Playback history” and check out the last 40 tracks you've listened to. In this option, you can still click PLAY to play the list randomly.

The audio quality on Deezer is quite varied. For free accounts, you can switch between basic and standard quality; Deezer Student, Premium e Family: basic, standard and best quality; Deezer Hi-Fi e Family HiFi: standard basic, best quality and very high quality. As for the numbers, the basic quality is 64 kbit/s, default 128 kbit/s, best quality 320 kbit/s and very high quality 1141 kbit/s. All of them are in MP3 format, except for the very high quality, which is in FLAC format, a type of format that has no significant losses in its reproduction.
Connectivity
You can link your account on up to 13 different devices, whether smartphones, smartwatches, Echo Dots, smart TVs, video games, etc. It is a little more difficult to find many applications and/or devices that have a full connection to Deezer, compared to Spotify, but it is still easy to make multiple connections to the platform.
Values
Deezer's free accounts have the ability to like tracks, create playlists, listen to playlists and everything else, however, just like on Spotify, advertisements invade the breaks and there is a daily limit to skip between tracks. - Deezer Premium: possibility to download songs for offline listening, best audio qualities offered, unlimited skipping tracks, exclusive to one account. Value: R$16,90 monthly;
