Qualcom announces its new Snapdragon 632, 439 and 429 processors

As expected, these new chips, aimed at mid-range smartphones, come with some improvements and advantages over previous generations. With this, the Qualcomm already collects more than 1.350 orders for platform-based commercial devices Snapdragon 600 and more than 2.300 for the Snapdragon 400, all from global manufacturers.

Snapdragon 632

This model, built on advanced processing technology FinFET, comes with improvements in features that demand more from the device, such as heavier games, 4k quality videos (capture), artificial intelligence and even a capture of LTE, which guarantees higher internet speed with the X9 LTE modem.

Its performance is up to 40% bigger, that's because it counts on a combination of the CPU Qualcomm cryo 250 and Qualcomm Adreno 506 GPU. As Snapdragon 632 users will be able to make the best use of single 24MP cameras or even dual 13MP cameras. And as for the screen, its resolution can reach the FHD+ standard.

Snapdragon 439 and 429

The new ones models for the mid-range line also leave nothing to be desired. Also built with advanced processing technologies FinFET, they ensure the best performance of AI, camera, security and even voice command features. Regarding the cameras, the model Snapdragon 439 supports up to 21MP cameras and 8MP dual cameras each, in addition to the resolution FHD +. The Snapdragon 429 supports single 16MP and dual 8MP cameras with screen resolution up to HD+.

Its performance is 25% higher than predecessors, as well as efficiency. These models also have the X6 LTE modem, thus ensuring higher internet speed. While the Snapdragon 439 arrives with processor octa-core to Adreno GPU 505, thus guaranteeing graphics rendering with 20% more agility, the Snapdragon 429 already offers the Adreno GPU 504, where this improvement reaches up to 50%.

Availability

According to the company, what is expected is that the first commercial devices with the new platforms will be launched in the second half of this year.
