The file sharing tool of Google Drive has become very popular with everyone working from home, but with a large amount of documents being shared with many people, it is difficult to keep a track of who has access to your files. In this case, how to remove old users from Google Drive? With this problem in view, WhoHasAccess facilitates the entire process of removing these accesses. Check out!
What is WhoHasAccess?

O WhoHasAccess is a free online service that quickly scans your Google Drive files. Can you see who are the people who have access to the files on your Google Drive and revoke access to the file with just one click, or contact that user. Some files you won't have this option enabled, but that's because those files belong to another user and are being shared with you, so if the file doesn't belong to you, you can't revoke access.
How to use?
To check old Google Drive users, you must first access the website WhoHasAccess, and right away the screen shown in the image above appears. You must click on the blue button written “Scan my Google Drive now“. You will be redirected to a Google screen where you will need to log in to your Google Account and then WhoHasAccess will ask for access to your Google Account.

O WhoHasAccess needs this access to allow you to revoke other users directly from the report that will be generated. The service will only read and write metadata such as file names, sharing settings, folder hierarchy, etc. After permission, a list of all users with whom you have shared files will be shown. After all the confirmations, you will be taken to the shared files management screen, where you will be presented with a complete list of all the users with whom you share a file, or who share a file with you.

Users are shown with their account picture, name and email address below. I censored the users on my list, but as can be seen the user “Bruno” was selected, which showed on the screen highlighted in red the two files that I have shared with him.
But is it safe to use WhoHasAccess?
O WhoHasAcces states that it uses official interfaces such as the Google Drive API and SSL. Their databases are hosted on Google Cloud and therefore benefit from all the security parameters of the platform. Finally, to further protect users of the service, all data collected and permissions are deleted 24 hours after use.
On their website they highlight that:
“WhoHasAccess will never read the contents of your files or change them at any time. Promised"
Excerpt taken and translated from the WhoHasAccess FAQ
If you still don't feel safe with all this, you can after using it scroll to the end of the screen where there is a red button written "Delete my WhoHasAccess report data now” and so you delete all your data instantly. Another option is to go directly to the whitelist your Google Account, go to WhoHasAcces and Remove Access, but doing the test here, when I click on the cited red button, the access has already disappeared from my Google whitelist.
See how easy it is to check out old Google Drive users and revoke them? Anyone interested in information about the service can access its FAQ in English, or else your Privacy Policy.
