Launched in November 2017 in Brazil, the Beats Solo3 Wireless It is one of bluetooth headphones most advanced in the company, which belongs to Apple. Resistant and comfortable, the phone has adapters on both sides and promises a high standard of quality with intuitive use.
Beats gave in to the showmetech um Beats Solo3 for testing, and after a month of use, I present to you a complete review full of good news.

My experience with wireless headphones so far has been with the Sony Gold Headset protocols for PlayStation 4, with great sound quality, plus volume control for music and chat. However, this headset does not have a bluetooth connection and needs a dongle to connect to the video game or even the PC, making it impossible to take it anywhere. Fortunately, the same is not the case with the Beats Solo3 Wireless that offers the perfect balance between comfort and quality.
Pros
-
- Great sound quality;
-
- Comfortable even for a long time of use;
- Battery lasts 22 hours.
Cons
-
- Design very similar to previous models;
- Bag to store headphones too small.
Design
Simplicity is the keyword Beats Solo3. An unsuspecting user might imagine that because of the phone's simple look it is very sensitive and needs to be handled with care. However, in my endurance tests the phone performed very well, being able to be stretched and folded several times without risk of damage.
As with other headphones, the Beats Solo3 It has extenders on both sides of the device, and for someone who doesn't have a small head, this feature allowed me to effortlessly adjust the headphones to the most comfortable position. The rubberized material of the upper inner part of the headset ensures extra comfort when using the device and the composition of the earmuffs is soft.

However, it is not guaranteed that these materials will not begin to wear out or even peel off with time and prolonged use. Some discomfort was only felt after using the headphones for a long time without interruption (for example, for two hours), but nothing so serious that I had to stop using the device.
Located on the right side of the headphones is the small on/off and sync button on the device. Four small white LEDs flash below to signal that the headphones are starting up and also serve as an indicator of the device's battery. The volume, pause/start/forward controls are on the left side – a strange decision, since normally all these buttons are grouped together on one side of the phone.
weighing less than 260 grams, the headphones are light to carry anywhere and with the folding temples it is easy to put it in your backpack or keep it in a drawer. The package comes with a simple fabric bag to put the headphones on, but even folding the device it is difficult to fit the headphones in it without being afraid of breaking them.

Beats could have invested in a slightly larger bag so users wouldn't have so much trouble putting the headphones inside. Even with a zipper, several times I had to force the zipper or it got caught in some part of the headphones that was coming out.
Usability
During the analysis, I used a 6 iPhone. As it is a family device, connecting and pairing the headphones is very quick and simple. Just activate the smartphone's Bluetooth connection for it to recognize the headphones. A soft tapping sound can be heard on the Beats Solo3 signaling that the handset has been successfully connected to the smartphone.

For other devices such as smartphones running Android e Desktops, the connection process is not very complex: just activate the headphones and access the Bluetooth options for the machine to recognize the device. And despite the Bluetooth wireless connection being the main way to use the headphones, the device also comes with a out P2 if the user wants to use it with a device that does not have this type of connectivity.

During the tests, it was possible to use the headphones without any type of sound failure up to two meters away from the device to which it was connected. It is an acceptable limit of connectivity, since the user is expected not to keep their smartphone or device too far away from the headphones.
The audio control buttons work very well, but it's a strange feeling that the volume up and down buttons are softer to the touch than the main pause/start/forward button. This button is a little hard to press and it clicks a little loudly, so there were quite a few times during testing that I ended up fast-forwarding a song instead of pausing it.
Sound quality
Compared to previous models, the sound quality of the Beats Solo3 has had major improvements, particularly in the noise canceling aspect. In addition, when compared with other headphones used in the tests, the razer electra and Gold Headset for PS4, the Beats Solo3 sounds slightly cleaner, with more bass definition and a more natural sound.

Beats is already known for prioritizing the quality of bass in its headphones over other sounds, but in the case of Beats Solo3 this is not noticeable. The headphones have an optimal balance of different types of sounds, so you can hear both bass and bass more clearly.
No Beats Solo3, the improvement in canceling external sounds is impressive. The new technology created by Beats – called Pure Adaptive Noise Canceling (Pure ANC) – is constantly monitoring the environment and calibrating the noise cancellation to isolate the user, whether on the street or inside the office.
O beats solo3 It also has a built-in microphone on each side of the device that is used to calibrate the noise cancellation caused by movements of the user's head, glasses or even hair. This functionality can be clearly perceived because it is possible to make sudden movements or even put on and take off the glasses without having the sound affected by these displacements.

In addition to using the headphones to listen to music, we also tested the device for making calls. Interesting to realize that you can hear your own voice while speaking, but not with feedback issues or delays involved, but as a feature so that the user does not speak louder than he should. The quality of the microphone and its sound insulation are excellent, as the people I talked to told me they could hear me loud and clear.
Battery
This is certainly one of the best features of the Beats Solo3 Wireless. According to the manufacturer's information, the headphones have a battery life of 22h and, when put to the test, a duration time very close to this value was obtained. Also, if the user chooses to disable the feature Pure ANC, the headphones guarantee up to 40h uninterrupted sound!

O beats solo3 still has a feature called Fast Fuel: through it the user can listen to up to three hours of music after charging the headphones for at least 10 minutes. This is a great option for those who use their headphones non-stop and need to use them quickly without being able to wait for a full charge, which takes about 2h.
It was great to be able to use the headphones during the tests without having to worry about battery consumption, because even using the device for about 4 to 5 hours a day, I only had to recharge its battery after a week. For those who don't like to live full of cables and portable batteries, Beats hit the nail on this headphone feature.
Price and final considerations
O Beats Solo3 Wireless can be found from R$1.799,00. For many it may seem like a hefty price tag for a Bluetooth headset, but with all the positives presented in our review, we can guarantee that the user will be making a great investment for their hearing and enjoyment.
Users of the Beats family of headphones may be disappointed by the lack of innovations in the design of the Beats Solo3 Wireless compared to its predecessor, but I believe that here Beats is taking inspiration from that old adage that serves the electronics industry so well: “if it's good, don't change it”. In addition, the company guarantees that the design of the device has an excellent ergonomic and acoustic standard.

Anyone who is willing to invest in a bluetooth headset with great sound quality, durable and resistant and that can be used anywhere, can trust their choice in Beats Solo3 Wireless. Beats has put its cutting-edge noise canceling technology in a Bluetooth headset that makes this device stand out for its sound quality and fidelity among its predecessors and among others similar in the electronics industry, such as the Bose and Sony.
