Review: Onkyo HTS3700B Home Theater is compact, powerful and can turn your living room into a movie theater

The receiver is twice the size of a radio Blu-Ray and, despite not being so big, it needs a differentiated space in the furniture that accommodates its TV.

Highlight for the good construction of the elements: at satellite boxes are coated with shiny plastic, in the form of a bud, and the face covered by fabric. O subwoofer is made of a plywood with robust construction. There is an air vent on the front and the drive faces the floor.

The first impression of quality is in the reproduction of bass, with volume above 50 (the scale goes to 80), you can feel the floor and the window shake. The sound quality is amazing definition, detail and impact.

Rated power is in the same range as home theaters in its segment (five loudspeakers 120 W and one of 130 W), but the audio that the HTS3700B produces with their 660W RMS of power is impressive and has incredible acoustics.

High amplification dynamic volume reaches a powerful level at 60% of the scale, enough to fill the entire room and reproduces systems with aplomb. Dolby, True HD e DTS-HD Master Audio. It is excellent for playing movies in Blu-Ray. In our test, we used the Blu-Ray movie original Gravity (Gravity, USA, 2013), Oscar winner for sound and sound mixing in the year 2014, and the result was spectacular. The intensity and clarity of the sound underscores even the noises of the aircraft's engine and the sounds of explosions literally rocking the room.
