We test the smartphone Nokia Lumia 930, the new top of the line Nokia. For those who have the Lumia 920 and thinking about an upgrade, but who still haven't bought into the idea of using the 6-inch screen of the Lumia 1520, or who want a more compact smartphone, this should be the right choice. See why:
O Lumia 930 came to lead the third generation of Windows Phone, succeeding the award-winning Lumia 920 (see review). But does it have what it takes to stay on top?
Layout and Finishing
O Lumia 930 has its external side divided into three parts: the rear in polycarbonate, aluminum frame and the wide glass front with Gorilla Glass protection. This provision is reminiscent of the Lumia 925 (variation of Lumia 920) and, for those who have it, the difference in size is only noticeable when comparing the 2 smartphones side by side.
The aluminum frame has 2 darker bands on top (on the sides of the headphone jack) and 2 on the bottom (on the sides of the USB input) giving a touch of sophistication to the device. On the left side we have nothing, as usual Windows Phones, and on the right the traditional volume, power and camera buttons. At the top, in addition to the headphone jack, we have the tray for the chip (Nano-SIM) that can be removed, without the need for specific tools, just with your fingernail.
On the rear we have in addition to the marks (Nokia e PureView), the camera, Dual-LED flash, sound output and 2 microphones. On the front, in addition to the screen, the 930 brings the sensors (proximity and brightness), the front camera, audio output for calls, the capacitive buttons (which unlike the Lumia 625 e 1320, light up) and another microphone (this one for calls).
Overall we have a quality product Nokia in the finish. O Lumia 930 passes a lot of security in the grip being perceptible, only to the touch, the quality of the device.
Display
The screen 5 inches has resolution Full HD (1080×1920), bringing comfortable 440 ppi (pixels per inch, in free translation). Illumination is provided by the AMOLED display and technology ClearBlack, which give the Lumia 930 an enviable contrast.
The screen size is another positive factor. It's not too big to be handled with one hand, nor too small to make it difficult to see. At 5 inches do a good job when it comes to surfing the internet, reading news, watching videos and playing games. Typing on it is also a good experience.
Speed and Performance
Bringing hardware similar to that of the Lumia 1520, at 930 we have at hand a powerful processor Snapdragon 800 on 2,2GHz em 4 nuclei, Adreno GPU 330 e 2GB de RAM. This set gives the 930 enough firepower to run any possible application on the Windows Phone without even blinking.
played Asphalt 8 e Dungeon Hunter 4, very heavy games, and my only complaint is the same as any user of the Lumia 920: excessive heating of the device. However, at the same time as the Lumia 930 It heats up fast due to its aluminum body, it also cools down fast for the same reason.
Battery
This was the Achilles heel of the Lumia 920, and remains in the Lumia 930. Despite the increase in battery capacity, 2.000mAh No. 920 all with 2.420mAh No. 930, we have a bigger screen and more firepower to consume it.
In my daily use I have 1 e-mail account with constant updates, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Weather, Finance, News, Skype, several SMS, a few minutes of calls and a little GPS, the Lumia 930 arrives at the end of the day with 30% battery. compared to the Lumia 920, with similar usage, I got similar but slightly inferior results, ending the day with around 20% battery.
So, if you spend the day away from home, it's good to carry the charger or buy a car charger.
Camera
Here we have a strong competitor for the third best camera among all smartphones (behind only the Lumia 1020 and the legendary Nokia 808 Pureview), the camera Lumia 930 bring a sensor 20MPx, Dual-LED Flash, optical stabilization and many features that apps from Nokia and the ecosystem already brought from the factory to potentially serve any photographer.

Storage
Following the pattern that Nokia put on their top-of-the-line smartphones, the Lumia 930 owns a 32GB internal storage, which in reality add up to 29,12GB, of these, approximately 3,3GB are destined for the system, leaving more than 25GB clean for the user to use. Not to mention, of course, the 15GB that Microsoft makes available for free to the user in the cloud, more 3GB available for photo backup. We have then added up a total of 43GB available if the smartphone is connected to the internet all the time.
Despite this, he still lags behind his big brother, the Lumia 1520, as it does not support expansion by micro SD cards.
Conclusion
O Lumia 930 is for those who seek the best of Windows Phone and the Nokia and did not like the size of the 6” phablets.
Just like negative points, it just has a high temperature when performing the process, lack of memory card and a battery that should be bigger or better managed.
Highlighting the strengths, the model has an excellent camera, great screen, more than enough processing for any task and impeccable finish.
O Lumia 930 can be found in Brazilian stores for prices that vary between R$1.709,0DO NOT (your Submarino), R$1.724,70 (via FastShop), R$1.999,00 (via Fnac).
