Having good equipment when creating content for the internet is essential. having the vloggers as a target audience, the Razer launched the Razer Seiren BT, a bluetooth lavalier microphone that promises a crystal clear voice in any type of content creation. Does he deliver the same? Come find out in our full review.
Box design and contents

Bluetooth lavalier microphone from Razer it's pretty straight to the point when it comes to its design. It is all black, following the company's standard. At the top we have a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is also where the microphone picks up your voice.
At the bottom, we have a USB-C port to charge it, and on the back there's a clip-on button so you can attach it to your shirt, for example. On the front we only have a small hole with an LED that indicates the battery level, if it is pairing and others. Finally, we have a button on its side to be able to turn it on and off.
The material used in its body is plastic, and that in the end is a very positive point, as it makes the device very light.
O Razer Seiren BT It came in a very pretty box with the brand's face, all green and with black details. It's funny that I took a little time to open the box and then I found out just pulling the side of it with a kind of magnet to open it.

The contents of the box have your manual, USB-C cable for charging and two anti-wind protectors, one furry for external recordings and one in foam for internal recordings. The cable included in the box is made with a material that resembles a rope — which is very nice — and the user manual, at least on the unit I received, was in English only.
Audio quality and usage

O Razer Seiren BT It is equipped with a 6mm omnidirectional microphone, that is, it can hear you from any direction. The sound quality is good for its proposal, but it still needs some revisions.
Although it was created with the intention of being functional for those who vlogs ou stream smartphone games, the microphone did much better in my tests on the Windows e Mac as a tool for video calling and also for gaming.
On Android and iPhones, there is a very impeding limitation: the microphone does not work with the traditional camera apps of these two systems, meaning that it can only be used for streams using the app streamlabs.
A Razer comments that there is an audio security lock on smartphones, which it is not possible to bypass yet. For that reason, the microphone will not work natively.
Connectivity
O Razer Seiren BT Work as Bluetooth 5.0 to chat with your smartphone or PC. It is compatible with both the Android (Android 8.0 or above) and with iOS (iOS 13.0 or above). And that brings us to our next topic, about the device app.
Application
As I mentioned before, the device has an app to configure its functions. It is available for Android e iOS and particularly, it sins for being extremely simple and not explaining things well.

In the image above you can check out everything the device app has to offer. As for the number of functions, this is not a problem, but how they seem to be thrown there and at no time does the app explain the functions to you or help you on how to use them in the best way.
Hopefully in the future the app will be updated and be more complete, after all not everyone understands these devices, so having something with more explanations and guides would be very useful in this case.
Battery

If we are gradually getting rid of wires, we are increasingly dependent on devices that offer good battery performance. In case of Razer Seiren BT, fortunately, we have a very good result.
With a full charge, the Razer promises:
- Six hours of use with AI mode off
- Four hours with AI mode on
- Ten hours of music playback
At the time of charging, in just 1 hour and a half, it will have all its usability restored. In my tests, I used it to play games on PC and in about 3 hours of playing straight there was no stuttering or disconnection, and the battery was more than enough.
Conclusion, price and availability
O Razer Seiren BT is a very interesting piece of equipment and a very cool step from Razer for bluetooth equipment. It still looks very experimental, with some strange decisions both in its app and in its design, such as the headphone jack where we put the windshields.
The problem with it looking like an experimental product in this case is that we live in Brazil and well, its original price of 99 dollars turned into R$999 this way. the arrival of Razer Seiren BT in Brazilian stores is scheduled for June, so you can think a lot about whether or not it's worth the investment.
