The line Moto E da Motorola presents smartphones with more basic specifications to meet the public that wants to have a smart phone without spending a lot for it. O Moto E6 Plus, launched in Brazil with the OneZoom, is the most “powerful” of this generation, with some interesting configurations – and others not so much – to compete with the K12, LGAnd Galaxy M, Samsung.
Available in 2GB and 4GB versions, we have analyzed the Moto E6 Plus (4GB) and our full review you can check it out now. is he better “basic” from Brazil?
construction and design
O Moto E6 Plus brings an air of modernity and evolution in the line Moto E. But make no mistake: the smartphone is all made of plastic and the cover is even removable! Despite this, we are looking at a modern and stylish model, with a metallic gray color and rounded plastic sides. In the box, the Motorola It includes a clear protective cover, and you'll need it – the cover is quite flimsy and any rougher surface collects fingerprints and scratches.

Removing the cap, there are ports for two chips and a memory card. This is where all the fragility of the Moto E6 Plus; Its 149g makes it the lightest phone I've ever tested – without the cover, it becomes a paperweight! By the way, be very careful not to let it fall to the ground – it is possible that the cape will fly to one side, battery to the other.

On the sides, there are volume controllers, power button, 3.5mm headphone jack and MicroUSB input for charging and data transfer. As well as the K12 and his brothers, the Motorola didn't upgrade to USB-C, meaning no fast charging around here.
The fingerprint sensor on the rear remains, and its location a little higher, close to its rear cameras vertically and without 'bump', is even fast and responsive for its category.
Although apparently very fragile, the Motorola Moto E6 Plus it is resistant to water splashes, according to the company. This means that you will be able to take a more moderate rain with it without major problems. But don't think about submerging it in the pool, as there is no seal on its housing.
Fabric
O Moto E6 Plus It has a 6,1-inch panel with HD+ resolution and IPS LCD technology. The screen format has a teardrop cutout to house the front camera of the device. Visualization is good, but it has noticeably large edges.
Regarding the quality of the display, the colors are very vivid and even surprising for a device of 700 reais. As an IPS LCD panel, more challenging angles lose their tonality, but it doesn't hurt when viewing videos, photos and games.

The big negative point is around the smartphone's HD resolution Motorola. Despite being a model below 900 reais, its quality is below the K12 line and the most basic models of the Galaxy A and M families.
Performance
inside the Motorola e6 plus runs a processor Helio P22, MediaTek. It is a basic chipset launched in 2018 with a focus on energy efficiency and which also equips smartphones in the family. K12, LG.

Unlike its direct competitors, the E6 Plus It has versions with up to 4GB of RAM, which guarantees better management in multitasking and in some heavier games. For everyday life, the Helio P22 is very good and all the basic apps like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, YouTube e Netflix There are no crashes or delays in loading.
The processor also brings some very welcome artificial intelligence features to introduce the user to the technology. It is present in the battery, optimizing the apps that the user uses most to save energy; in the cameras, choosing the best settings for a given scenario; and in games, giving a little boost in heavier titles.
Regarding games, be warned: the processor is not the most suitable for games. the graphics card IMG PowerVR GE8320 650 MHz is not powerful enough to run Modern Combat 5, PUBG Mobile ou Free Fire, for example, with a very low fps rate and high load time. Despite this, simpler games like Subway Surfers e Candy Crush have satisfactory performance.

It is worth remembering that the 4GB of RAM gives the Moto E6 Plus extra gas when running applications, and the 64GB of internal storage (expanded via memory card to another 512GB) does the trick even without a break. However, the 2GB/32GB version is available in the Brazilian market, which must “suffer” a little more to run that game or manage a multitasking.
Two powerful cameras
A Motorola did an excellent job on the cameras of the Motorola e6 plus. It may seem small by today's standards, but the two 13MP and 2MP rear sensors take pictures with good definition and a surprising portrait mode. In good lighting conditions, there is very little noise and some details can be seen with definition even in shadow.

The focus is not as fast as ideal, especially in portrait mode shots, but the results were mostly satisfactory and with very few contour errors. If you photos for social networks and landscapes in daylight, it will not disappoint you.

When night falls, the E6 Plus suffers just like most cheaper smartphones. There's sharp grain and the maximum aperture of f/2.0 fails to capture light. However, if the environment is not too dark, you can risk a few clicks.
The 8MP front camera is located in the notch on the front and takes very good photos too. The post-processing is not very aggressive, making the colors come out balanced in favored environments. Here it is also possible to take selfies with portrait mode, done via software, but it is even surprising to highlight the object well from the background.

Regarding video recording, we have what you expect from entry-level smartphones: the Moto E6 Plus records up to 1080p (Full HD) at 30fps and electronic stabilization. Remember your best moments, no more or less.
Operational system
The operating system of Moto E6 Plus is still Android 9.0, but the optimization of Motorola on their smartphones is so good that they are almost pure, without bloatwares (unneeded apps) and excess transitions. The experience of tinkering with such a basic Android is good, as you practically end up having a Google Pixel with the Moto app, which brings some functions already known by users Motorola.
Furthermore, the Moto E6 Plus can take advantage of most apps that support full screen, giving a modern look to the most basic line. apps like Netflix e YouTube already come with factory support, making movies and series to be played in a lot of immersion.
drums and audio

The processor Helio P22 has no focus on performance, but its eight Cortex-A53 cores do well in battery life. There are 3.000mAh around here, which in 2019 is the limit of what is acceptable for a smartphone today, but which are well distributed during the day, if you maintain a moderate usage profile.
As it is not a smartphone focused on games, we stress it according to its main proposal: we leave the house at 8 am with 100% charge and abuse 4G to use social networks, a few minutes from YouTube, about two episodes of 45 minutes each on Netflix, streaming of music by Spotify for two hours and checking emails at home for 30 minutes. We got home around 20pm with around 40%, which is pretty good for a device in this price range.
If you add a few clicks and dual camera recordings to the routine, that average drops to 35%, a still acceptable average. Now, if you risk a game, know that he can ask for a charge before the day is even over. and reload the Moto E6 Plus It's a VERY lengthy process. The smartphone has no USC-C and no fast charging technology, so it will take an average of 3 hours to go from 0% to 100%.
Is it worth buying the Motorola Moto E6 Plus?
Yup. O Moto E6 Plus It's really worth it if you're a more casual user, who doesn't download heavy games and uses his smartphone for social networks, emails, photos and consuming multimedia from time to time. The set is quite simple, not standing out negatively at any point. On the contrary. It tries to be the best entry-level smartphone and wins by balance in the settings.
if you liked the Moto E6 Plus, an alert: it is sold in two configurations: the model we tested has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, but there is still another version with only 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. We have not evaluated the most basic option, but we have already made it clear that the difference should impact the overall performance of the device.
