Choosing a wireless mouse is important, as a wrong purchase can cause problems, especially for those who need a model to play the most diverse types of games. One of the options of Logitech for the gaming public is the G502XPlus, update of the model that hit the market in 2021 and which has some improvements.
For two weeks, I made full use of this option to work and, of course, play the most diverse titles possible. Check out the prints and consider (or not) buying the model right now.
Design
I got the black variant of G502XPlus and starting to talk about the weight, I had a not so positive surprise. despite the Logitech informing that the wireless mouse has 106 grams, the feeling I had was that of a model that weighed close to 200 grams.

You can imagine this might not make that much of a difference, but one for a person using a model that only weighs 50 grams, this was the first thing I noticed.
Fifteen days after starting the tests, I still have to get used to getting a slightly heavier model, so here's the warning: if you've never used a gaming mouse, you'll need to go through this adaptation.

Talking about the buttons, the G502XPlus It has 13 programmable buttons that are well located to deliver a good experience. I'm a person with a rather large hand, so the model's “footprint” was quite assertive and, in fact, it fit a lot in everyday life. The button near where the thumb “rests” is a great shortcut to activate a function you use a lot (by default, this button lowers the DPI level).

Still talking about the “rest” of the thumb, I really liked that there is a protection with rubberized material that facilitates the grip and prevents the wireless mouse from slipping, which can be the resolution of the problem for those who play FPS, for example.

I need to comment that the black version looks simple but at the same time it is also quite beautiful. The model also arrived in the Brazilian market with a white variant, but I particularly like dark-colored devices much more, as this avoids dirt after a while.
In summary: despite the weight a little “out of the ordinary” in relation to models not focused on the gamer audience, the design of the G502XPlus da Logitech manages to make itself useful, even if it is simple at first impression. People with larger hands will benefit the most, because the product manages to have a good fit that will provide comfortable use.
Lighting
A Logitech is one of the companies with one of the best lighting synchronization technologies in its products. Here, we have the lightsync, who does his job with the greatest assertiveness.
According to the company, the model can display 16,8 million colors in a hollow area that can sync as the task being performed by the user, all wirelessly. What caught my attention when I wasn't playing are the lighting modes, which are:
- Fixed;
- Cycle (which displays all colors automatically);
- Breath (displaying only one color);
- color wave: rainbow-like mode;
- pulse mode: display of pulse in the corner;
- screen sampler: display of the same color more prominently on the screen;
- audio viewer: Illumination accompanies sound emitted by the computer.
What I liked most about the lighting mode are the different ways to enjoy the illuminated area, but it is important to remember that this alone will not be enough for you to have the so-called immersion. O G502XPlus it looks even better with that, but there's no point in waiting for the wireless mouse to do all the work for a large RGB strip. The lighting will do that complement, but nothing too special.

A positive point is that when you are using the mouse for hours and your hand covers the illuminated area, there is the possibility to turn off the light so that the battery lasts longer. This is interesting, as the part with lighting is the most responsible for energy expenditure, according to the manufacturer.
Hardware and performance
I had no connectivity issues when using the G502XPlus da Logitech. Inside the box, there is an adapter that can be connected to the computer, independent of running Windows, Linux ou MacOS. But it is also possible to connect via wire: just plug the adapter into the USB reader and use the model normally.

The wireless mouse can be used as soon as the operating system starts working and despite the application Logitech G-Hub (available free of charge for Windows 10 e MacOS) give that complement and also allow customization of buttons and lighting, it is not mandatory for a good experience.
Still about the application, I really liked that the company took care to explain each of the mouse's features so that people who understand less about technology know how to make full use of their new device without the need to watch tutorials or read the manual. instructions.
O G502XPlus has a maximum limit of 3200 DPI (dots per linear inch or dots per linear inch), the sensitivity level of the wireless mouse. I tested this maximum limit in games of Fortnite e Freefire through an emulator Android and frankly, the difference is expressive in relation to the mouse model generally used.

The user can control the sensitivity level to: 100, 800, 1000, 1200, 1600, 2400, 3000, 4000, 14.800 or 25600 DPIs. This makes Logitech's wireless mouse a good choice for all types of gamers and it doesn't matter if you prefer FPS ou The Sims, surely there will be a level of sensitivity suitable for your type of user.

In addition to being a good model for those who like to play intensely, I also tested the G502XPlus to work and I had a good experience.
Battery
This is one of the points I was most excited to comment on the mouse wireless da Logitech released during the BGS 2022. The manufacturer comments that the device can be active for up to 120 hours when the lighting is off and up to 37 hours when it is on. The good news is that I've come to a lot more than that.

By using it for 10 hours a day (8 hours of work and two hours of games), from Monday to Friday, I was able to use the G502XPlus for more than 50 hours with the lighting on. The battery was from 100% to 25% during this period and, for sure, the device would arrive until Sunday without asking to be recharged. The use with the lightsync off went from 90 hours, always following the pattern of 10 hours.

The battery can be powered by a USB-C connection located on the front of the mouse. THE Logitech sends the wire, but there is no sending a charging source. On the manufacturer's website, there is information that the model has compatibility with the Powerplay to mousepad which also doubles as a wireless charging base.

When the battery was dead, charging took 2 hours to complete. It is for sure that you will only have to plug the wireless mouse into the socket once a week and often this interval can be longer.
Conclusion
with the price of R$999,99 na Kabum, the greatest enemy of Logitech G502 XPlus it's the price, no matter how much it delivers a complete experience. It's true that the device will make a huge difference to the user, but having to pay the average price of R$1 to have a model like this may end up being too much for some people.

The big highlight is the battery and sensitivity. with the arrival of Black Friday and holidays, it may be that the price drops and the model can be purchased for less than R$999,99.
Gamers looking for a model to work and play with in their spare time can find cheaper models on the market, even if they have to sacrifice some specs. It is important to understand that the G502XPlus it is aimed at the premium market and its high launch price shows this in practice.
