Chinese smartphones are known for delivering longer battery life, faster charging, and in some cases, even being cheaper than models from more famous brands. OPPO Reno13 F 5G bets on high resistance, an underwater mode and an AI platform to help in content creation. See the analysis.
Design

the back of the OPPO Reno13 F 5G It is made of plastic, with a matte finish that prevents fingerprints from registering on a daily basis. The edges are made of aluminum and even with a few drops, no scratches here. The look of the black variant (Graphite) that we received for testing follows the idea of being chic without being extravagant.
The cover sent in the box avoids the problem of having to spend money after making the purchase and it is worth mentioning that it is very resistant and will not turn yellow after a while.
O OPPO Reno13 F 5G It has only three buttons: two for volume control, which can also be used to control the camera, which we will talk about in another part of this text, and one more to turn the screen on and off.

We also have two audio outputs next to the USB-C port, without a P2 headphone jack. As it follows the standard established a few years ago, it will be necessary to buy a USB-C headset or opt for a wireless option.
We received the black version (Graphite) which is basic and elegant, but the purple variant (Lavender) is even more beautiful, with a butterfly wing effect on the back. Check it out below:

Its grip on a daily basis is quite comfortable and I like models with more rectangular edges because of the long-term use, which does not cause discomfort after hours. So far, there is nothing to complain about the model.
And there is no way to talk about the OPPO Reno13 F 5G Not to mention its high resistance: in addition to having support for IP64, IP65 and IP68, it also arrives in Brazil with IP69, which guarantees operation if it comes into contact with liquids at extreme temperatures (hotter or colder) and high-pressure jets. A good point for resistance and prevents the device from stopping working in the event of an accident.
The possibility of using the device even underwater without any case is very interesting and it was possible to notice that the OPPO managed to take advantage of the device's good resistance to being submerged in fresh water for up to 30 minutes in a very intelligent way.
Fabric

Speaking of display, we have an AMOLED type with 6,67 inches, resolution FHD +, refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of 1.200 nits. Outdoor use is very interesting: even on sunny days, the ambient light sensor did the job and changed the brightness level without any problems.
Day-to-day use is quite assertive and you can enjoy online or offline content without any problems, but the screen is not fully utilized: the edges are very visible. This is far from being a problem and, in fact, another standard for mid-range models.
When used in underwater mode, the screen experiences some touchscreen issues: the best way to get around this is to dry the screen after taking the device out of the water, as drips on the screen don't do a good job. This brings up a possible explanation for the decision of OPPO in having chosen for the underwater mode to be entirely controlled by physical buttons, instead of touching the screen.
Processor

The chipset chosen by OPPO protocols for Reno13 F 5G is Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen1, the same as Moto edge 50 fusion. During the launch event of the device in Brazil, the company highlighted the good use in multitasking among the specifications of the OPPO Reno13 F 5G and this could be seen in practice, since even with several applications open simultaneously, I did not experience any crashes. This is also due to the good amount of RAM memory.
Despite being sold as a premium mid-range smartphone, this processor is only above entry-level processors. The main explanation is that AI processing only happens when the device has an internet connection.
System and interface
O OPPO Reno13 F 5G (and its more powerful brother, the OPPO Reno13) arrive in Brazil with the Android 15, installed via the company interface, the ColorOS 15. As a smartphone user realme more than two years ago, I need to comment: the version of Android of this device is literally the really UI 6.0. This is not a bad thing, in fact, it just shows that companies that are part of the same conglomerate (in this case, OPPO, realme, OnePlus e Living are Chinese companies from BBK Electronics Group) reuse resources and interfaces that have worked.
Moving on to practical use, you can see that the transitions between applications are very fluid: there is no more abrupt switching and now everything is more dynamic in relation to Android 14 da OPPO, which I tested on Reno11 F 5G.
The customization of the home screen and other parts of the operating system should also be highlighted: in addition to taking advantage of the available themes, you can download new options and change the entire look of the device's system. One thing I liked here is the possibility of the system saving your settings made in a theme and for the change to be made with just one tap.
Another great positive point of this operating system is the Live Alerts, which can be explained as a dynamic island of the group BBK Electronics. OPPO avoided commenting on this at the smartphone's launch event, so it's something you'll have to figure out on a day-to-day basis. You can see information about charging, screen recording, router usage, and also music playback.

In my day to day life, as a person who listens to a lot of music on Spotify, having a shortcut window that saves me from having to open the app or pull down the notification bar is a huge plus. It's cool that, in addition to giving media controls (pause, fast forward or go back to the next song), you can also start playing a new playlist with a simple tap, as four options are displayed.

As of the closing of this review, the Live Alerts has support for music control Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music e Tidal. O YouTube Music didn't work here, even though I was only listening to one audio. The possible explanation for this is that the system recognizes the YouTube Music as a video app, but I hope this will be resolved in the future.
If you want to have this quick bar hidden, you can swipe your finger over the front camera and it will disappear. I honestly hope that OPPO work with more companies so that more applications have more support for this, such as Uber, iFood and even airline ticket apps. Either way, this is a great feature that has made a significant difference in my day-to-day life.
A OPPO did not openly mention how many operating system updates will be released for the Reno13 F G5, but the GSM Arena raises the possibility of it being updated for three years, going until the Android 18. Let's wait.
And, no less important, it is also worth highlighting the use of O+ Connect, file sharing system between Android e iOS da OPPO. As a way to avoid delays in sending files via Bluetooth, simply have the application O+ No. iPhone so that shipping is done without loss of quality and at a speed close to that of AirDrop.
Memory and storage

O OPPO Reno 13 F 5G It was launched in Brazil with only one version: 256 GB of internal memory + 12 GB of RAM. It is possible to have even more performance through RAM Plus, which adds an additional 12 GB of internal storage to run more applications and features.
I like models with 256 GB, but 512 GB would be ideal here. The model was launched internationally with 512 GB versions and because it has a high-resolution camera, sooner or later you will need to upload the photos to some cloud storage system. And the smartphone also does not have a memory card, so it is important to know that, if you take a lot of photos and videos, you will need to manage memory.
Connectivity
O Reno13 F It is compatible with the 5G network, ensuring access to ultra-fast mobile connections. In terms of connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), allowing high-speed connections on wireless networks. The model also supports up to two physical SIMs, with no support for eSIM.
Furthermore, the Reno13 F has Bluetooth 5.1, offering stable and efficient connections with compatible devices. An interesting factor is the AI LinkBoost, which basically optimizes, via AI, the best connection in places with high demand so that quality is not left aside even with a weak signal. It is that detail that seems simple, but that makes a difference when you try to talk to your friends at those more crowded events. The most expensive model, the OPPO Reno 13, shares the same specifications.
Audio
This device has stereo speakers that provide rich, immersive sound. Plus, its three-microphone system with audio zoom lets you capture ultra-clear 4K videos with an immersive soundtrack, ideal for recording concerts or festive moments. What's missing here is AI sound processing, as in places with louder sounds, you'll notice the audio slightly popping (but this can be corrected later in the editing software).
O Reno13 F also supports Bluetooth audio codecs such as SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX-HD and LDAC, which guarantee a good experience when listening to music, especially on streaming services such as Apple Music ou Tidal.
Battery and charging

The loading SUPERVOOC brings the loading of 45W for the model, requiring 01h30 to have the battery fully recharged. The 5.500 mAh battery also deserves praise: with more intense use, it managed to stay active for 07h30, just on Wi-Fi, in games, social networks and messaging apps. With moderate use, the big surprise: it managed to stay active for up to 02 days, exceeding my expectations.
There's no denying it: companies like OPPO e realme They have already learned that the battery is one of the most important factors for users and this has been improved from generation to generation. And for those who have doubts: a 45W power supply is sent in the box, along with the USB-C cable.
AI use
Not Reno11 F 5G, OPPO gave a signal that it would increasingly put AI into its smartphones. Eight months after testing this model, we have the Reno13 F 5G in hand, now with a more complete platform, focused on enabling the use of artificial intelligence in various parts of the operating system. Let's go through each of the functions.
Starting with Circle to Search do Google, I think that every smartphone launched in 2025 should have this feature. It is possible to receive information about items on the screen in a few seconds and also know what song is playing in the environment or on the device itself, just by pressing the button Home.

The application annotations is also here: with it, you can create, enhance and refine notes, as well as receive different intonations of drafts. But I missed using these AI textual tools in other applications. This requires that the OPPO develop your own keyboard, something that Samsung I already had… Let's see what the future will bring (or not bring).
O Voice recorder It also has a voice note summary feature, but be warned that files must be longer than 15 seconds to be summarized.
The AI's work is very assertive and even far from the TV I have at home, it managed to summarize what was said by the presenters, even though there is no option to select Portuguese when requesting a summary. And, right after finishing a recording, there is a window for you to create a summary and save time.
Coming to content editing, we have the AI Editor, integrated into the smartphone gallery. Starting with Enhance sharpness, here we have an application of contrast, giving more emphasis to dark tones. The idea would be, in theory, to increase the resolution of the photos, but I see it more as an application of filters. It's not bad and works well in 90% of cases, so we have another positive point in the analysis of the Oppo Reno13 F.
O Erase with AI It's the cherry on the cake: it can automatically select what should be deleted so you have a great photo to post on social media.
It is interesting to note that if you do not agree with the selection made by the device's artificial intelligence, there are still two other ways to delete intruders from the photos: Smart Loop, which allows intruders to circulate, or the Paint, which allows a drawing on the screen so that it can be erased.
The tool works well and can be a lifesaver at busy events, as you only need to remove the intruders in a few seconds. Check out the before and after below:
Already talking about Make Clear… Well, the idea only seemed cool in theory, because photos taken at maximum zoom, clearly pixelated, receive a slight improvement that often won’t be noticeable in everyday life. Who knows, a future update might improve this, but for now, it doesn’t work like the OPPO wait and disclose.
The final tool is the Remove reflections, which can be a good option for those who like to take photos in mirrors. It is worth mentioning that everyday photos are slightly corrected, making it almost impossible to notice the difference in a purer way.
Finally, we have the OPPO AI Studio, which uses a lot of generative AI to create new photos based on what is saved in your gallery. You can play around a lot, but it is clearly visible that everything was created with AI, especially the videos. There is even a filter that puts you in a selfie with the Brazilian football player Kaká, the brand's ambassador in Brazil.

The downside is that you spend credits every time you use the app and when you run out, it was not yet possible to buy coins in Brazil at the time of writing this review. But when you log in, you earn 5.000 credits and there are rewards for those who log in daily. AI Studio It's cool to use, but actual photo editing tools win out.
O OPPO Reno13 F 5G It can be classified as a good AI smartphone for those who want to enter the category, but, as everything can improve, it would be interesting to see features that integrate applications so that you can use only your voice, as we already see in Galaxy smartphones from Samsung.
Rear cameras

O Reno13 F is equipped with a triple rear camera setup:
- Depth sensor: 2MP(macro)
- Main lens: 50 MP (wide angle)
- UltraWide 8 MP (ultrawide)
Photos with good lighting and/or during the day turn out well, and post-processing corrections put the cherry on the cake. Brighter colors, like red, don't end up with that whitish tone that ruins the photo. The same goes for green. See:

At night, even with AI support and high-resolution mode, you can still see some errors when zooming in. It's not completely bad, but it could be better.

The explanation for this is simple: the lenses do not have optical zoom, only digital. This leaves all the work of improving the photos to artificial intelligence, which will have good results in some situations, but not in others. It is possible to capture photos with zoom from 2x to 10x. The best capture is at 3x and above that, everything will be pixelated. The photo below was captured at 3x:

Video recording can be done in up to 4K at 30 frames per second. During the day, the recorded videos are very sharp, but at night, there are small grains.

Another highlight is the creation of short videos with 2K resolution, called Live photo. Totally inspired by iPhones, the idea is good, but it needs some improvement before it can be widely released by OPPO.
The interesting thing is that there is support for sharing this directly to apps like WhatsApp, Instagram and even TikTok, but the capture is a bit confusing. You can trim videos directly in the gallery, but there are some “hiccups” when sudden movements are made by the person being photographed. Who knows, updates might not improve this, but there are these small errors that require later editing.
Frontal camera

O Reno13 F have a camera 32 MP front with IMX709 sensor, which can record in 1080p quality, ensuring sharp and clear records. Selfies are captured with good detail during the day and at night, but they will be better if you choose to take them in a well-lit environment. See a photo in portrait mode:

Another point worth highlighting is the portrait mode, which manages to make a good cutout with details, despite, in 5% of cases, having an error here or there. Post-processing manages to provide a good improvement and, although it cannot record videos with a blurred background, it delivers a good result. See photos with the Oppo Reno13 F 5G:

The smartphone has a front lens without many surprises: it is something seen in models of the same category, with a few errors here and there that can be noticed by more demanding users, but that go unnoticed by those who just want a smartphone that takes good photos.
Underwater use
A OPPO This was a big deal when the device was launched in Brazil, and there's a reason for that: it's incredible. Being able to record videos underwater, using a special mode developed for this purpose, is really interesting, especially if you travel a lot. Activation is also really simple: just go to the camera's advanced modes and start recording. The rule is:
- Volume up button: Takes picture
- Volume down button: Start recording video
- Power button: exits underwater mode after being pressed for 5 seconds.
The recorded videos are great if you edit them in an application like CapCut after recording, because it is worth cutting out some behind the scenes, but being sure that you will not have any problems after recording underwater is a huge positive.
It is true that smartphones supporting IP68 certification can be submerged in fresh water, but a big difference in OPPO Reno13 F is that, right after you exit the recording or underwater photo capture mode, it emits a sound to remove water splashes from the inlets. Which ends the chances of oxidation in the inlets.
The possibilities are endless and it's worth having fun with the device to create incredible content for social media.
Price and availability

During the closing of this review, the Reno13 F 5G could be purchased for BRL 3.329 at Magazine Luiza. The model is a competitor of Samsung Galaxy A56, which can currently be purchased for around R$3.
It is interesting to note that the option of OPPO stands out for having better certification and more RAM, but the Galaxy A56 It takes the lead in terms of system updates (it will offer 6 years) and in delivering an AI platform that is more integrated with third-party applications.
Conclusion

O OPPO Reno13 F 5G is a powerful smartphone and a highlight in the mid-range smartphone category, with a complete AI platform, long-lasting battery and impressive endurance. Its interface, which brings the possibility of using the Live Alerts also deserve attention, even if your camera has some errors that still do not characterize it as perfect.
In any case, it is still a great investment when it is priced correctly for what it delivers, between R$2.000 and R$2.200. The suggested price of R$3.300 may be a bit steep even for those who are open to spending a little more, with more complete options that will be updated for longer, such as Samsung, for example.

The comparison, the Galaxy S24FE, launched at the end of last year, can now be purchased for R$2.700, delivering better cameras, a more complete AI platform and more years of updates (seven in total). Therefore, it is worth waiting a little for the option of OPPO lower the price so you can have an error-free purchase.
