A QLED 4K Q7F was launched in Brazil in May as part of a category of smart TVs with AI features and even karaoke. The model stands out as a great value option due to its great features for the whole family, starting at R$3.499. Check out what we thought of the model in this review:
Design
Considered the entry-level model for AI TVs launched in 2025 to date by Samsung, QLED 4K Q7F smart TV doesn't try to reinvent the wheel when it comes to design. The box includes two plastic feet, a material that's also part of the entire model.
Installation is very straightforward, taking just 20 minutes, including attaching the feet, which are done with two clicks directly to the back. You can adjust the supports to fit your available space. Here's how:
Made of plastic, the smart TV's body provides easy handling, useful if you need to move the Q7F It's easy to move around or even swap out a cable. Speaking of which, I really like that all the connections are located on the right side instead of on the back. It seems simple, but it saves you the hassle of having to move the smart TV just to swap out a cable.
Speaking of the edges, they are quite apparent, which for me is not a big problem, but, if you value that more premium finish without the edges, it might be interesting to consider a model with that.
I also liked the black structure, which prevents dirt in the long run. So far, so good.
Fabric
A Q7F was launched in Brazil with screens of 50″, 55″, 65,” 75″ and 85″We received the 55-inch model for testing, and from the outset, it's clear that it won't deliver the quality of an OLED panel. 4K resolution is present in virtually every series, film, and video available today, allowing for good screen performance in a variety of situations.
But even with strong 4K support, you'll still notice some grayish black zones. Samsung tries to reduce this with what it calls “Ultimate UHD Dimming” dimming zones, but it’s worth remembering that they are present in only certain parts of the screen, which is normal for LED/LCD models.
In theory, dimming zones are groups of LEDs in the backlight that can be controlled and have their brightness adjusted independently. Instead of the entire screen having a single brightness level, dimming zones allow specific parts of the screen to be darker or brighter depending on the image content. The work is well done here, providing that boost to the image, but we're far from seeing the results of a model. mini LED ou OLED.
The screen has a refresh rate of 60Hz, which does not characterize it as a smart TV gamer, but it can be a good panel for less dynamic games, but the processor also arrives to give that upgrade due to its Gaming Mode.
I would leave the ambient light sensor enabled forever. There's a menu option that leaves the operating system responsible for controlling the panel's brightness, but smart TVs have physical hardware that works more reliably. So there's no reason not to use it.
A QLED 4K Q7F you can still enjoy the good panel QLED that Samsung developed for this category, with that “almost premium” experience, but at a price that is still part of the entry-level category.
Remote control
A Samsung kept the same remote control as last year for the 2025 models: the remote control SolarCell It stands out for its more minimalist aesthetic, without the classic numeric keypad, but still has function controls, such as volume and analog TV channel selection. It also has a button to activate the personal assistant. Bixby and shortcuts to video streaming services: Netflix, Prime Video, Samsung TV Plus e balloon play.
I really like the minimalist aesthetic, and eliminating batteries can be a good way to deliver a lighter remote, but I noticed that, at least in the model we received, the battery wasn't lasting as long as expected. This is because I had to recharge the remote once a day during the ten days I tested the smart TV.

Since it doesn't use batteries, the battery is charged via the USB-C connection. The model also has a small solar panel, which won't be as useful during winter (when this review was written) in Brazil, but is nice to have. It also captures 2,4 GHz radio frequencies for recharging, the most commonly used frequency in routers and smart home electronics, which, at least here, I haven't noticed any difference in day-to-day life.
While the SolarCell is recharging, you can use the SmartThings app as a virtual remote. While I was annoyed by not having the device active for long, I missed having basic information about the remaining battery percentage.
Audio
A Samsung equipped its smart TV with a very simple sound system, with 20W of power. For everyday activities, it performs well, but because it lacks a dedicated woofer for the lower tones, it may be insufficient for more demanding users. Even so, music with instruments like bass and drums is well-produced, without distortion.
High-pitched music also fares well here, with the ability to transform your smart TV into a powerful speaker when you're not watching anything on the screen. And let's face it, the ability to control all your media from your smartphone makes the experience even more enjoyable.
A Samsung highlights Sound in Motion, which essentially uses artificial intelligence to create that 3D effect in space. But the real highlight is the function Amplify, which can increase media volume without distortion. It's an interesting option for those who want to maximize sound immersion.
For those who have a soundbar from Samsung, you can use the feature Q-Simphony, which combines the smart TV and stereo speakers to work together as if they were one. This ensures more powerful, full-bodied sound for those who want to elevate the experience even further.
But it is worth highlighting: because of its category, the QLED 4K Q7F until it delivers great sound, this is due to the good use of artificial intelligence that Samsung did.
Processor
O Q4 AI processor and Samsung Q7F is the heart of the TV's intelligent visual experience, focusing on enhancing picture quality and integrating AI features. It is capable of optimize content for near 4K resolution, even if the original source is not in ultra high definition, ensuring more details and clarity.
Furthermore, AI analyzes scenes in real time, adjusting brightness, contrast and colors for a more vibrant and realistic image, with certification PANTONE for over a billion colors. The most interesting feature is the dynamic modes, which naturally change the sound and brightness with just one click on the Quick Menu. SettingsThis way, you can have a great sound and visual experience in just a few clicks.
Another important addition is the AI Energy Mode, which adjusts brightness to save energy, and integration with SmartThings to control other smart devices.
Operating System and Interface
The model arrives in Brazil with the Tizen OS, revamped in 2023 and since then one of the best smart TV systems on the market. Still following that more minimalist aesthetic, the home screen is well organized and contains only the essentials, with other features organized into other sections.
Without betting too much on the brightest colors and even quite elegant, you have access to a preview of the last program you watched, which also applies to what is being displayed on the video source, so you don't miss any details while browsing the home screen.
In the top left corner, we have the add-ons: a Search magnifying glass, an Art section, Daily+, Games, and a footer section to access devices connected to the smart TV. It's a clean, well-optimized system that's also easily customizable, so you can organize just what you want to see.
A Samsung also mentions that the QLED 4K Q7F, along with the other smart TVs released in 2025, will be updated for the next seven years, free of charge. Another highlight is the Knox, which serves as a safe where all passwords and usage data for connected devices are stored, accessible only by the user.
As soon as you turn on your smart TV for the first time, you will need to log in to your Samsung account, to be able to use all the features. If you want to control your smart TV from your smartphone or tablet, you can also download the app SmartThings (available to Android e iOS) to control volume, open apps, use your phone as a remote control, and more. See the app interface:
Finally, the Tizen OS has a section SmartThings that allows full control of other connected devices, such as a smart robot, vacuum cleaner, and lights throughout the home. You can create a 3D map of your home and even register routines directly on your smart TV, so it not only functions as an entertainment hub but also as a control center for connected devices.
Following what it already delivers on its smartphones, Samsung invested heavily to ensure that the same compelling One UI experience found on smartphones also appeared on its smart TVs. One of the most interesting aspects of a smart TV is precisely the operating system, which should be useful at all times. And Samsung knows this from the first moment.
Special Features
Integrated karaoke
One of the great novelties of Samsung for 2025 is the integration of the application Stingray Karaoke, previously only available to pay-TV subscribers. The idea here is to avoid having to open YouTube to have that karaoke night with friends and family, using your smartphone as a microphone. To make it work, just use the app. SmartThings and do the integration.
The only negative point is that the feature is only available for smartphones from the lines Galaxy S23, S24, S25, Z Fold 5, Z Fold6, Z Fold7, Z Flip5, Z Flip6 and Z Flip7. If you choose devices iOS, the app works on the iPhone 15 or iPhone 16 lines.
As I have a realme 12 Pro + for everyday use, I wasn't able to test the functionality, but Samsung mentions that up to 2 smartphones (as long as they are compatible models) can be used to make duets with up to two pairs.
If you don't have a compatible smartphone, you can still use an external microphone connected via Bluetooth to your smart TV and still enjoy the catalog of over 100 million songs (updated weekly with the latest releases). In addition to singing just the lyrics with the instrumental, you can also receive backing vocals from the song itself.
You can even organize a full karaoke night with friends and sing everything from classic songs to the latest hits. Having this built-in feature changes the way you enjoy your smart TV from simply watching something or listening to music, adding even more value to your purchase.
AI Art
With remnants of smart TVs The Frame, AI Art Take advantage of the large screen to create screen sleep art using Galaxy AI. You can create up to 10 images per day. You can mark text commands that best suit your daily routine (just like you do with Galaxy AI on smartphones) and, in seconds, receive unique art that can be used as screen sleep when you're not watching or playing games. Q7F.
The idea is really cool and could be an interesting option for those who want to turn their smart TV into a decorative item as well. While it's clear that the photos were created with the help of artificial intelligence (in addition to the watermark in the corner of the screen), Samsung It also provides high-quality videos with sound, also for use in sleep mode.
And if you're thinking about energy consumption, you can set how long it will take for the smart TV to turn off using a schedule in the operating system.
One interesting feature I liked is the ability to set photos taken on your phone as a screen saver. See example:
But, if you want to have access to more options, you can subscribe to Samsung Art Store, which has over 3.000 works by artists such as Van Gogh, Tarsila do Amaral, and more. Access costs R$16,90 per month or R$169,90 for an annual plan.
Xbox Gaming Pass
A great feature present on Samsung smart TVs since 2022, the app Xbox Gaming Pass allows you to access all the games in the game subscription service ecosystem and still use the remote control Xbox or any other wireless controller for fun. The idea remains the same: to allow users to enjoy the most popular titles directly on their smart TV, even without a dedicated console.
Already integrated into the operating system, the application Xbox It works smoothly and without errors, bringing the gaming experience directly to your living room. This makes it practically a hybrid device: smart TV and console in the same device, requiring only an active account and an internet connection.
Smartphone as gamepad
This is another new feature for 2025 and more open to those who do not have a smartphone. Samsung: by downloading the application Samsung, you can use your phone as a gamepad, using digital controls to have fun. Just make sure both devices are connected to the same network to use the virtual gamepad without lag.
And the app Virtual Gamepad is not limited exactly to Samsung smartphones or tablets, as it is available on Google Play Store and also in App Store. As soon as you open the app, you can fully control it. This is a great addition for those who don't yet have a joystick and would like to use the large screen of their smartphone or tablet for fun.
Smartwatch as remote control
You can also use your Galaxy Watch (from generation 4 onwards) as a remote control, especially useful when you're in the kitchen, for example. The idea comes as an interesting integration between devices in the Samsung, even though you may need to practice a little to learn all the gestures.
In addition to using your wrist as an arrow, you can turn on, off, change the channel and also control the volume of your smart TV, all from one place. Galaxy Watch. The idea works well and without delays, as both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
personal assistants

Another great success of Samsung when developing this model it was necessary to maintain the Bixby, familiar from previous generations of smart TVs and smartphones. Using the microphone on the remote, simply hold down the button to request an action or even ask basic questions, such as what the weather is like where you live.
The model also comes with Alexa built-in, but Bixby is quite comprehensive and even understands natural language commands. My favorite thing to do is ask a series, program, or movie to start on a streaming service with just one sentence, something that would take more than five minutes if done traditionally. Convenience matters (a lot).
Connectivity
The smart QLED TV Q7F arrives in Brazil with an antenna Wi-Fi 5 to connect to the internet, and also has another Bluetooth 5.3 antenna to connect to wireless devices like mice, keyboards, and even headphones. It's not yet the most advanced (Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4), but both are useful in a variety of situations, including gaming and streaming content.
Inputs/Outputs
The model has three inputs HDMI 2.1, to support 4K image display at up to 60Hz, the maximum refresh rate for the screen. It also has a LAN port if you want to connect a network cable, in addition to just one USB-A port. I felt a slight lack of a USB-C port and more USB-A ports during my Q7F review. So, here's what we got:
- 3x HDMI 2.1: (with eARC support)
- 1x USB-A:
- 1x Internet (LAN):
- 1x TV cable input
The model does not have an optical audio input, so it will be necessary to connect it to a possible soundbar via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
Price and availability
Samsung Smart TV QLED 4K Q7F It is available in five sizes in Brazil and, at the time of writing this review, it still had the suggested starting price of R$3.499. See the price according to size:

In Brazil, this model is a direct competitor of the models LG NanoCell, also in the same price range and with a more premium design.
Conclusion
The smart Q7F TV It's an interesting option for the Brazilian market, but this model's panel is a bit lacking. It's not that the visual experience the screen delivers is completely bad, but at the same time, it's not worth expecting the same image quality from an OLED panel. These models are from different categories, and there will be times when the Q7F will still allow you to see whiter images due to the limited dimming zones.
The 60Hz refresh rate panel, in 2025, is also outdated when compared to other models available in the Brazilian market. Furthermore, its design with more visible bezels could be more sophisticated, enhancing the content experience.
The biggest success of the Q7F's specifications lies precisely in the operating system and additional features, which make the user experience even more complete. Get access to the full catalog of Xbox Gaming Pass is not a novelty for smart TVs Samsung, but allowing users to use their smartphone as a gamepad is a great addition.
Additionally, the ability to have a karaoke app available directly on your smart TV means your parties with friends and family will be more lively. Tizen OS, which has also undergone minor changes, is here to change the game in the smart TV market, delivering a connected home experience that's truly useful in everyday life.
A Q7F It's not just a smart TV, but a true entertainment hub for the whole family. It's an interesting option to keep an eye on over the coming months and should be offered at attractive prices during holidays and Black Friday.
