O twibi is a new type of router recently released by intelbras. It belongs to the category of routers wireless mesh network (or “mesh net”, in Portuguese), that is, they are sets of wireless routers (three or more) that are distributed throughout the environment acting as access points, of practical configuration and that automatically manage the use and distribution of the signal. Wi-Fi.
These three (or more) access points are able to communicate with each other to share the connection Wi-Fi at best, something that is not possible with repeaters, as they only communicate with the router. we from showmetech we tested the product for a few weeks and below you can see the advantages and disadvantages of twibi.
Strengths
- Easy setup;
- Comes with an easy-to-use application;
- Just buy new units to expand coverage even further;
- Beautiful and functional design;
- Very good signal.
Negative points
- has no function WPS.

The innovation of the system is in solving that old problem when you need to extend the Wi-Fi for the toughest corners of your home or office. Because the options available until then either provided a poor quality of operation (as in the case of the Wi-Fi common) or needed more skill in configuring the application (in cases of reconfiguration of routers or installation of network cabling through walls).
Layout and Finishing
With its compact and very elegant shape, each twibi has a very presentation clean, in white plastic, which blend very well in any environment taking up very little space.

It has an input for power cable and two more for network cables, allowing connection to the modem, or to another device as the final destination.
Main features
Available in two versions: Fast e Jig. Being the first for networks where the internet has less than 100 Mbps and a maximum of 40 devices connected simultaneously. The Giga version is for larger networks, with speeds exceeding 100 Mbps and the possibility of connecting up to 60 devices connected to the network.

Its configuration is simple and intuitive. Just turn on the units at the points in the house where you want to spread the signal Wi-Fi and start the application (WiFi Control Home - from intelbras) on your mobile phone to configure the devices.

Don't worry. These are simple steps and very well explained in the App. The app recognizes the Twibi's within its reach, it shows the quality of its signals and asks for confirmation to establish the connection between them.

If you need more points, just add new ones Twibi's as per your need.
private impressions
During our tests, it was very good to notice a great consistency and reliability of the signal distributed throughout the house. I say this because before, in previous systems of combination router-extenders, it was very common for the communication between devices to fail. Which forced us to turn the devices on and off to get them working again.
With twibi, the connection proved to be much more stable and well distributed. Another positive point was the great compatibility with video players in streaming, as chromecast, for example. These could be easily located throughout the house and their performance was fluid and consistent.
Price and availability
On the website of the intelbras, the version Jig can be found by R$978,90 (Package of 2 units), or R$498,90 (per unit, separately). The Fast version can be obtained by R$499,90
(Pack with 2 units), or R$259,90 (per unit, separately). See the offers at this link: Click here.
Conclusion
This network router solution mesh comes out as a great option for expanding home and business networks easily, quickly and without the need for advanced IT knowledge. It has great signal quality and meets the requirements of everyday life and for work, games and video streaming. It's really a good buy.
