Showmetech traveled to South Korea to explore the tech city that goes by the name of Samsung City, at the invitation of the company. In addition to having several testing laboratories, the site houses a museum that provides a journey through the history of human evolution and its technologies.

O Samsung Innovation Museum is located in Suwon, South Korea, and its central idea is to make the visitor walk through history, visualizing up close each technological advance provided by humanity since the discovery of electricity.

If you are interested in seeing it up close special collections about the discovery of radio waves, the invention of telephony and the TV that you use in your home to this day, this is the perfect place for it.

In the museum there is not only innovation on the part of the Samsung, as devices such as: the first cell phone with SMS, the first cell phone with internet connection and the first cell phone with a camera are on display. Thus, it is possible to have a broader view and see where the company fits in the whole picture.

A Samsung has always been focused on innovation, and stands out in relation to Chinese manufacturers. Since 1980, when the Samsung launched its first color television, the company based in Seoul, South Korea, has been innovating in the western market. A recent example of this was the launch of the market's first curved 4K Smart TV, which appeared in 2014.

Another outstanding feature of the company is the strong investment in research and development that spreads across several areas, including health.

In this type of test, it is common for the product to undergo simulations of everyday use. O Galaxy Note 9 shown on the notebook in the image above, for example, is the latest high-end smartphone released by Samsung, expected to reach X temperature when opening the camera app during this test. Clearly, the device works very well once it now available in Brazil.

There are also laboratories that perform acoustic tests for products that emit sounds. Here, the hardware is placed both in chambers that are completely isolated from any kind of sound, and in rooms full of noise and reflective surfaces. In total, the number of tests exceeds 80, according to the Samsung.

Another type of laboratory present in South Korea is the resistance one. In this area, Showmetech was received by Hwangkyun Joo, the senior reliability manager at Samsung Electronics e Sera Kwon, reliability manager at Samsung Electronics. Hwangkyun Joo has worked at Samsung since 2001, working in this specific area since 2016.

But, going back to the resistance laboratory, we can say that: every smartphone model manufactured by Samsung and that you use in your day to day went through a battery of tests. Engaging in drops, sprains and all sorts of potential wear and tear.

What many do not know is that there is also a last sector where tests are carried out regarding the resistance of products to moisture and to the most different climates found around the globe.
