Quite discreetly, the Samsung made available the Galaxy Enhanced-X on its official store for a portion of devices, completely free of charge. As a more simplified alternative to the Photoshop e Lightroom, the app to improve photos intends to improve the images taken by the brand's smartphones.
Despite this, models released before May 2020 are no longer able to install via Galaxy Store. Understand all the details right now.
What is improved by using AI?
A Samsung is one of the companies that invests the most in post-processing of images and in addition to its native application being quite complete and offering several options that allow a quick editing, the RAW Expert is also quite interesting and manages to give that “special touch” for those who want to improve images. O Galaxy Enhanced-X comes to the market with seven photo enhancement options, they are:
- Removing blur points;
- Removal of reflections;
- Resolution enhancement;
- Sharpening of details;
- Magnification of lighting in dark images;
- Improved HDR effect;
- Moiré pattern removal.
One of the most interesting features is the possibility of enhancing the photo, as it allows an old photo and taken with a less powerful camera to be improved using the AI of the Galaxy Enhanced-X. Samsung has not publicly commented on the availability and owners of which devices can use the novelty, but apparently only the line Galaxy S22 can make use of. Check out examples of focus correction, enhancement and HDR correction:
A feature present in devices such as the Galaxy S20FE and the line Galaxy S22 is the Image Remaster, which can be used on older photos. O The new app has pretty much the same functionality, but it goes even further by allowing users to improve specific elements of the photos rather than just doing the general enhancement. Check out more examples:
The option to remove the default Moiré It's also worth testing: you know that repetitive effect in an image that ends up damaging the image due to having too many lines/stripes in a photo? The developer guarantees that the images sent to its application that makes use of AI can be corrected, in a similar way to what happens in the Lightroom 4.
App to improve photos is free
Available to all users of Android from today, you can download the Galaxy Enhanced-X by Galaxy Store, but it is important to remember that not all smartphones may be able to install. The company appears to be making the release gradually.

Despite this, due to being an application for Android, the installation can be done from outside and the only requirement is to have a device from the Korean company that is running the Android 10. The edited photo will be saved in the gallery as a copy so that the user still has access to the original image and as expected, it is not possible to use the app to improve images than on devices from other brands. The website APK Mirror made the file available APK which can be installed on your smartphone:
