Today (10), we had the second edition of the event to announce the Samsung, Galaxy Unpacked. In addition to bringing new smartphones, smartwatches and even a smart ring, we had news about the new Galaxy Buds3 e Galaxy Buds3 Pro. They are the first headphones to support artificial intelligence from Samsung, in addition to having an incredible leap in sound quality. Check out all the news now:

Galaxy Buds3

Os Galaxy Buds3 It is the most basic model between the two, but it brings with it the new design. The novelty of this generation is that it is longer with a little leg, very similar to what we see in AirPods. This makes you able to physically interact with the headphones in a more interesting way.

For example, it is now possible to increase the volume or change the song with specific gestures of sliding your finger on the body of the headphones. Another visible and pleasing change is that the right earphone is marked in orange and the left earphone in blue. Many people get confused with the “L” and “R” on the headphones, so having an additional color might make things easier. This is also shared in the product case.

As there are no more rubber bands, this model will have a slight downgrade in the power of ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), but it's worth remembering that Samsung has already made a similar headset in the past (the Galaxy Buds Live), so this should be much better. As for colors, the options are more limited, with them being the Gray and White.

To ensure more protection, it has the IP57K against water and dust, but please note that this only applies to the headphones and not the case, ok? Each earphone weighs just 4,7g and the case weighs 46,5g, very easy to carry and also easy to lose if you are inattentive.

Audio

O Galaxy Buds3 brings with it a speaker with the 11mm Dynamic Driver one-way, that is, its driver has a greater focus on the highs. It brings quality Ultra High audio up to 24bit/96Khz, available for the series Galaxy S24, S23, Z Fold6, Z Flip6, Z Fold5, Z Flip6 and Tab S9, as long as they are updated with the One UI 6.1.1 or superior. A Samsung it also states that more products may be added over time.

Another feature that is available is 360 audio, the already known spatial audio. What's new is that the features that were previously exclusive to the Buds2 Pro are now available in the conventional model, ensuring more immersion when watching a film in quality streams. 5.1, 7.1 and even Dolby Atmos. The sound equalizer has also been improved to adapt automatically.

Noise Cancellation

O ANC It's not new to Samsung headphones, but it's certainly a differentiator for a non-in-ear model. The last model like this was the Galaxy buds live and he was received with mixed emotions. In this model, the ANC has been optimized and will be able to adapt to the position of the headphones in the user's ear, as well as the shape of the ears. As it is not in-ear, the Environment Mode and its variations are not available in this version.

Galaxy AI and special features

O Galaxy A.I. has arrived on headphones and promises to be super interesting. The function that attracts the most attention here is bringing an interpreter One way (one-way), that is, it can detect the majority voice in the environment you are in and translates the conversation in real time for you. ANC mode also uses AI to analyze each ear type to adapt and deliver the best Cancellation of Noise possible.

Voice capabilities have been vastly improved. Previously, it was necessary to configure a gesture in the app so that you could call the Bixby and let's face it, it never worked as well as it should have. Now, thanks to AI, you just need to use the correct keywords to trigger the functions. Some of them involve increase/decrease volume, next song, answer call and so on. A priori these commands are in English and we do not have details of a possible PT version yet.

Battery

Each unit of Galaxy Buds3 count with 48mAh of battery and one charge can achieve up to 5 hours of music with ANC on, or 6 hours with it off. As for calls, the number doesn't change much, reaching up to 3,5 hours with ANC and 4 hours with ANC off.

The number is not impressive and, let's face it, it could be higher. However, it shouldn't be left in the lurch either, especially if we consider the extra hours of the case, which can reach a total of 30 hours of use.

Case

Just like the headphones, the new case has undergone very visible changes. The main one is in the format. In previous models the design was lower and longer. Now they are tall and thin, changing the way you store your headphones too. The colors placed on the headphones are also on the body of the case to make it easier to store them. Regarding the general colors of the case, it matches the tone of the headphones, in white or gray. At the top, it is transparent, a nice detail to easily check if they are there.

Price and availability

Os Galaxy Buds3 They are available from today (10), with delivery scheduled from July 15th. The suggested price of the model is R$1.699,00. When purchasing the new model, you get a discount from R$400 on your used headphones.

Galaxy Buds3 Pro

Design

It's impossible to talk about the new ones Galaxy Buds3 Pro not to mention that they followed the design of AirPods Pro da Apple . This new feature applies both to the product case and to the headphones themselves. This new design brings even more new features to the Pro model. Unlike the previous one, this is an in-ear headphone, that is, it has rubber pads for greater sealing. They vary according to the color of the product, white or gray.

The longer design was also brought to the Galaxy Buds3 Pro and even more advanced. This is because in this version, in addition to the colorful details, the line that allows pressure and swipe gestures has an LED, with a very futuristic appearance.

The headphones also have IP57 protection against water and dust, but just like the Buds3, here is a warning that only the headphones have the protection, so accidents with the case involved are not guaranteed.

Audio

O Galaxy Buds3 Pro is the great highlight in this aspect. It has two speakers enhanced two-way, that is, a 10,5mm dynamic driver and a 6,1mm planar driver. This separation means that the headphones are able to dedicate themselves and deliver more solid audio for both bass and treble. It is also the first Galaxy Buds to feature a dual speaker, which makes us super curious to test this sound.

It also maintains the characteristics of the Galaxy Buds3 related to 360 audio and 24/96Khz HiFi quality. As it has more powerful and dedicated drivers, the sound should be considerably more powerful and interesting in this model.

Noise Cancellation

As it is an in-ear headphone, the ANC Here it is much superior to the other model. In addition to conventional mode, it features ambient mode so you can hear the external environment as well. The news is for the adaptive noise cancellation. In this mode, the headset evaluates the environment to understand whether it needs to increase or reduce noise cancellation. Furthermore, it will use AI to know whether the noise is coming from people or not to automatically activate ambient mode in a conversation, increasing the sound of people's voices and lowering the sound of music without you needing to pause.

Galaxy AI and Special Features

O Galaxy A.I. It is available in the higher-end model and the available features are very similar. Here you will also be able to ask the headphones to do various everyday things, in addition to the possibility of real-time translation.

The smart features don't stop there. For example, in conjunction with Adaptive ANC, it will be able to recognize the noise of an ambulance so it knows to deactivate the Noise Cancellation without you having to ask or press buttons. This mode is called Siren Noise.

The Galaxy Buds3 Pro also comes equipped with the following codecs: SSC (Samsung Seamless Codec), HiFi, SSC UHQ (from Samsung itself), CAA, SBC. This allows the headphones to be compatible with the main music apps and provide excellent audio delivery. Another interesting point here is the sensors. O VPU (Voice Capture Unit) is what will let you talk with the headphones, Force and Touch (Swipe) allows you to use swiping gestures, as well as the well-known accelerometer and SWIR (infrared).

Battery

Galaxy buds3 Pro battery promises to be durable

The battery life of the headphones will vary depending on the technologies you are using on them. This is an aspect that has not undergone many changes here. According to tests by Samsung, it can reach up to 6 hours of continuous use with ANC on listening to music, a total of 26 hours with the case, or 7 hours with ANC off, reaching a total of 30 hours.

As for calls, with ANC on it is possible to reach up to 4,5 hours or 5 hours with ANC off. I expected slightly better performance for the Pro model, but let's see in practice how this will turn out.

Case

The case of Galaxy Buds3 Pro They are exactly the same as the simpler model. The colors are also the same, as are the details. What was not specified and I would love to confirm in tests is whether both models can be placed in each other's cases, or whether the sizes differ from each other internally, preventing this from happening. It's not a common situation, but it happens that your phone has a low battery and a friend has his headphones case in hand.

Price and availability

O Galaxy Buds3 Pro It will also be available from today (10), with deliveries from July 15th. Available in white and gray, its suggested value is R$2.199,00. When purchasing this model, your used headset is also worth from R$400.
