The event was planned as a strategy to revitalize the sector by offering cheap tickets, at affordable prices, and attracting viewers back to movie theaters.
The last edition was held in August 2025, according to data from FEBRABAN, sold 3,4 million tickets, allowing many people to watch films of all kinds. And, this year, Cinema Week takes place between February 05th and 11th, with screenings until 17 pm costing R$ 10 and other times costing R$ 12.

All companies associated with ABRAPLEX will make available the cinema discount. The participating names are:
