The new ShowmeCAST episode looks at the classic horror movies that shaped our passion for this genre. Among the titles commented and printed in this article is the classic The Exorcist, 1973. The film directed by William Friedkin became a landmark with scenes memories, mainly those interpreted by Linda Blair, who plays the frightening role of a 12-year-old girl possessed by the demon.

Still in the 70s, Steven Spielberg emerged as one of the biggest promises of cinema when he scored Shark. The film follows Amity Police Chief Martin Brody as he sets out on a journey to hunt down a gigantic white shark that has been murdering beachgoers while a huge festival takes place in the beach town. The film creates a sense of constant suspense until the final act, when Bruce the Shark is shown in full. In fact, the "monster", which was animated by animatronics, was constantly causing problems, causing Spielberg to show less of the animal, and which ultimately contributed to the project's creepy tone.
