O ShowmeCAST arrives in its fifty-seventh episode with all the most interesting that happened in the last week. Introducing the Espaitec's do showmetech, Philip Vidal e Arthur Pieri address the topics that most attracted attention in the world of technology, games and culture, through a relaxed and informative chat. In this program, we comment on the possibility of a tsunami in Brazil and the danger of social networks for the mental health of adolescents.
The new ShowmeCAST episode kicks off with presentations from Apple's recent event. Apple has announced in recent days a series of products for the end of 2021, such as the 9th generation of iPad, the new Apple Watch 7 and, finally, the full reveal of the iPhone 13, the company's new flagship.

Another big company has also made an important announcement for its popular console. Nintendo, via an update to with , confirmed that the Nintendo Switch will now support wireless headphones. The novelty was long awaited by users of the franchise, who since 2017 have only used the 2 mm P3.5 input to listen with wired headphones or with dongle bluetooth. Now the device will recognize these devices natively through the pairing functions.
A recent report by The Wall Street Journal revealed data about a presentation by Facebook, owner of Instagram, in which Mark Zuckerberg's social network conducted research on the impacts of the photo platform on the mental health of adolescents. Experts have been warning for years about the negative effects of virtual life on these networks, but now we have further confirmation of how aware companies in the field are.
However, one of the biggest highlights of ShowmeCAST was about volcanoes. Recently, the volcano Old Summit began to show signs of seismic changes, with a possibility of an explosive eruption on the island of Las Palmas. If it happened in large proportions, it could, even if very remotely, trigger a tsunami that would reverberate in the Americas, including the Brazilian coast.
