JOVI V50 smartphone arrives in Brazil with “5-star benefits” for those who buy it

A JOVI began operations in Brazil in January 2025, with an ambitious local production plan and a strong focus on camera technology. The choice of the name JOVI, rather than Living, was strategic to avoid confusion with the mobile operator already established in Brazil. The company, in fact, has been thinking about entering Brazil since 2023, the year in which research began and the first employee was hired. The idea is to have more than 1.500 points of sale and more than 1000 employees by 2025.

The name JOVI is the name of VIVO's personal assistant on its smartphones. As it suggests, it is connected to the young public, being easy to use and being a technological option. Those who use VIVO devices in the countryside can give the command “Hey JOVI” to activate the personal assistant, but Jorge Gloss, the company's marketing director in Brazil, he states that, in all strategies, the public is always at the center.

A LIVE JOVI arrives in Brazil with a history of global success: it holds 8,3% share of the global smartphone market, consolidating itself as the fourth largest brand in the segment. It is a leader in crucial markets such as China, India and Indonesia, demonstrating their ability to adapt and lead in different scenarios.

One of the biggest differences of JOVI, and what makes it stand out on the global stage, is its excellence in smartphone camera technology. The company is recognized for producing some of the best cameras in the world, the result of a strategic partnership with ZEISS. This collaboration allows for the development of high-quality cameras and lenses, delivering a superior photographic experience to users. Notable examples of this partnership are the models Vivo X200 and X200 Pro, acclaimed for their photographic capabilities.

For the Brazilian market, the JOVI demonstrates a strong commitment to local production. Since January 2025, the manufacturing of its smartphones has been taking place in a company factory GBR em Manaus. In addition JOVI will be responsible for its own points of sale in the country, which should guarantee a more direct experience aligned with the brand's identity for consumers.

O JOVI V50 has Design elegant and thin 7,39mm, slightly curved 6,77-inch AMOLED screen, Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring vibrant colors and visual fluidity, with maximum brightness of up to 4500 nits.

The construction is robust, with IP68/IP69 certification for water and dust resistance and to ensure operation if the model comes into contact with hotter or colder temperatures. In Brazil, there will be two colors: Red Anchor (in the video above) and Satin Black (in the video below).

In terms of performance, the JOVI/VIVO V50 is driven by the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (4nm), an octa-core that guarantees good performance for multitasking, social networks and games. The system and interface run with Android 15 under the Funtouch OS 15, promising up to three major Android updates, going all the way to Android 18, and optimization for smooth long-term use.

The device also offers Artificial Intelligence features to optimize several functions, including photography (such as automatic photo correction and intelligent object eraser) and productivity, fast translation and interpreter mode. Circle to Search do Google is also present in the model.

The big draw of the JOVI V50 is their camera set, developed in partnership with ZEISS. frontal camera impresses with 50 MP, autofocus and wide-angle lens, ideal for sharp selfies even in backlit conditions and group photos with low distortion.

At the rear, the device has a system 50MP dual camera: the main one with optical image stabilization (OIS) and the secondary one, an ultrawide one, both with improvements ZEISS, including classic portrait effects like Biotar and Distagon. Video recording is supported in 4K at 30fps on all sensors.

With Aura Light, the flash present on the back, you will never have to worry about bad lighting in your photos again. This is a ring light built into the rear camera, which you can fully customize, adjusting the warmth and intensity of the light to perfectly match the environment and your vision.

The company also mentions that the Aura Light It goes beyond photos. It easily integrates into your everyday life. You can use the ring light to display a photo timer, ensuring everyone is ready for that perfect group photo. Plus, it can even identify incoming calls and messages, giving you a subtle and stylish notification.

Are 12 different effects, including professional styles such as Rembrandt e Butterfly. The Rembrandt effect cleverly brightens one side of the face while subtly darkening the other, creating dramatic and artistic portraits. The Butterfly effect uses light to highlight your eyes, nose and mouth, highlighting your best features with a soft, flattering glow. With the Aura Light, taking professional-looking photos is easier than ever.

As for memory and storage, the JOVI V50 It will be available in configurations with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, with no memory card support. For audio, the device offers dual stereo speakers, providing an immersive experience for music and videos. Connectivity is complete, including 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and a USB-C port.

JOVI VIVO V50 Lite 5G

The JOVI V50 Lite 5G is an adapted version of the Vivo V50 Lite 5G and was also launched in Brazil. The device stands out for its 5G connectivity with support for dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5 and NFC. It is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

Its screen will be a 6,77-inch AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
In terms of photography, the JOVI V50 Lite 5G has a 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 32 MP front camera. The model also records videos in 4K quality, both on the front lens and the rear lenses. Aura Light is also present in this model.

The long battery life will be guaranteed by a 6.500 mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. The assembly of the device will be carried out partly in the Manaus Free Trade Zone and partly in China.

O JOVI V50 arrives in Brazil from June, with its variant of 512 GB + 12 GB RAM with a suggested price of R$ 4.999, in colors Anchor Red and Satin Black.
