Hours after Qualcomm's announcement on the Snapdragon Tech Summit, the founder and CEO of Xiaomi, Mr. Lei Jun confirmed that the company's next high-end smartphone, the Xiaomi 12, will be the first smartphone in the world to be launched with the new processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Although the Chinese manufacturer has not released an official date for the launch of the Xiaomi 12 equipped with the new chipset, there are rumors that point to its launch before Christmas this year.

Another Chinese manufacturer that has also confirmed that it will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 in its next top of the line was the OPPO. In a statement on the company's official website, Scott Zhang, vice president of OPPO, did not give many details about the features that the Find the X4 Pro will present with the new processor, but confirmed that “will bring immense improvements and powerful performance in the next generation of high-end smartphones”.

Motorola Edge X30

At that first moment, the Motorola was the only non-Chinese company to confirm that its Edge X30 — official name has not yet been released — will arrive equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1.

Ruben Castano, Head of Customer Experiencees in the company, promised users that all the experiences and news revealed during the Qualcomm will be present on the new device. However, Brazilians should note that Castano did not reveal details about a potential global launch, indicating that the presentation would only be for the Chinese market.

O Motorola Edge X30 will be officially presented during an event that will be held in China on December 9th. The company does not confirm any other information other than the fact that it will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Galaxy S22

Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is a SoC (System on a Chip), that is, a chip that has CPU and GPU integrated in the same part, so to speak, with a manufacturing process (lithography) of 4 nm and better integration to 5G networks thanks to the new X65 Modem . The platform has an octa-core 730 Ghz Kryo 3.0 processor with Cortex-X2, based on the ARM v9 architecture and an integrated Adreno 730 graphics card.
