Imagine the scene, you have just returned from another exhausting day at work and are about to devour your dinner, when suddenly, your plate starts to warn you that you are eating too much!
Yes, the SmartPlate is the new invention of the startup Kickstarter Philadelphia-based company that created the smart dish that analyzes what you're going to eat. The purpose of application is to help you stay in shape by controlling your portions and calorie intake throughout the day.

The app has three digital cameras and image recognition technology, which identifies what is on the surface of your plate, and then sends all the information relevant to the food, such as nutritional values, calories, including weight.
In the following video, you can get a clearer idea of how it works:

Although there are applications on the market that already allow users to register their meals, as is the case with MyFitnessPal, the difference of SmartPlate is that it collects these details automatically.
Another curiosity is that the application is so functional that it impressively differentiates between brown bread and white bread, for example, as well as white rice from brown rice, etc.
The idea is that by recording this information, the user will make smarter and healthier decisions in their daily lives.
The app is available for iOS and Android and to use it you need to be connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
