Sony e ecosystem are two giants of the technological market, with a particular rivalry in the games market. However, both announced this Thursday (16) a partnership to creation of new technologies that promise to improve the player experience.
In the memorandum signed by the companies, the focus is to explore the development of new cloud products – online data storage – based on the Microsoft Azure, a platform for programs and services of this type. The objective is to use the system to support the games and content of streaming.
Furthermore, Sony can explore the existing database of the Azure to improve its online gaming services. These improvements also include the development of platforms for the community of content creators.

AIs and semiconductors are two other important points mentioned in the agreement. In the case of semiconductors, the potential in the joint development of new intelligent image sensors will be explored, integrating the technology of the two companies. Enhanced features will be offered to enterprise customers.
In terms of artificial intelligence, the parties will explore the incorporation of the platform and advanced tools of the ecosystem in consumer products Sony. The intent is to provide intuitive and easy-to-use AI experiences.

Streaming on the rise
