This Tuesday (16), the list of nominees for the The Game Awards 2021 was finally released to the public. Geoff keighley, presenter of the event, made the announcement officially in a live on social media.
It is in this event, considered as the “Oscar of the games“, where leading publications and video game fans around the world gather to honor the best of the year's releases. In 2021, several games stood out and conquered their space in the nominations.
Deathloop, Resident Evil Village, Metroid Dread and more: the top nominees!

Deathloop is the leader in the number of nominations, appearing in nine different categories, including Game of the Year. right behind is Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, with seven nominations. The game marked the beginning of the PlayStation 5 era with high graphics performance.
In addition to these two games, the main category of the event also included Metroid dread, by Nintendo, Psychonauts 2, from Xbox Studios, Resident evil village, by Capcom, and It Takes Two, the representative indie from the list, published by EA. All six nominees were highly regarded by critics and are available for console and/or PC.

Unfortunately, not all titles praised and loved by fans managed to get a spot in the main category. You Gamers missed releases like return e Forza Horizon 5, both with strong audiences, although they still received other nominations.
Gaules at TGA 2021 and Xbox/Bethesda leading nominations
Totaling all the nominees of the 30 categories, the Xbox / Bethesda was the company with the highest number of nominations (20). The list goes on with Sony (11), EA e Square Enix (10). Capcom and Nintendo come back (7), while the Ubisoft, SEGA, Riot Games, Devolver Digital e Annapurna Interactive accumulate 5 indications each. Finally, Bandai Namco, Ember Lab e Valve bring together 3 indications each.

Another novelty in this year's edition is that we have a Brazilian representative in the official nominations. gauls, streamer and professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) player, is in the running for the Content Creator of the Year alongside four other nominees from countries around the world.
Under Geoff's mediation, the full award of the The Game Awards 2021 will be held in person on the night of December 9 this year, live from the Microsoft Theater and with free transmission on the event's social networks.
