Tony Stark approves: Samsung plans to launch cell phone that displays holograms

A Samsung is always at the forefront of technology along with companies like LG, ecosystem e Apple . It was the first to launch a cell phone with curved edges on the sides, the Galaxy Edge S6, and your next smartphone might have a foldable screen. But apparently, she won't stop there.

According to the Patently Mobile Samsung has filed a patent application that shows a smartphone having the ability to display holographic figures, just like Tony Stark's.

The device will have, in addition to the screen, a device to guide the light and another device under the screen that will generate the hologram. It is not known if the hologram can be seen from all angles, but Figure 3. indicates that they will appear even if the screen is covered with a special cover, with a small opening. Which can be useful to notify the owner of the device of incoming calls and messages.

Unfortunately, the patent application was filed in the third quarter of 2014, so we cannot guarantee that it is actually developing a smartphone with such capability.

Fortunately Samsung has a lot of interest in exploring this area, it participated in the film Avengers: Age of Ultron, contributing to the design of Gadgets de Tony Stark, a character played by Robert Downey Jr. in cinemas, which were: a watch, a bluetooth headset and a smartphone concept that is also capable of displaying holograms.

Holograms are cool and have always stirred the human imagination. The possibility of transporting virtually anything to anywhere has already been present in several series and films such as: Star Wars, Star Trek, Total Recall, Minority Report among others. Having the possibility of having a holographic smartphone would be the coolest uselessness ever created, and I buy the idea.
