The first part of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet expansion brings new activities, new creatures and an all-new adventure

The saga Pokémon has always been marked by its ability to evolve and reinvent itself, remaining constantly relevant and captivating generations of players around the world. In this context, the most recent addition to the franchise, the expansion The Teal Mask all with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, comes with a promise of new adventures, challenges and lots of new creatures to collect.

The DLC The Teal Mask (in Portuguese, the blue-green mask) is available from today, September 13th, and is the first part of 2 expansions that the current generation of Pokémon must receive, as part of the The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero, which should also be considered with the arrival of the second part, Indigo Disk, shortly. In today's text we will understand everything you need to know about the new expansion and what's new for players. Is it necessary to have beaten the game before having access to the new content? See below.

The story of The Teal Mask

Em The Teal Mask, the player will be taken to the Kitakami region, where a majestic mountain rises above the landscape and people live around it. The expansion will take place in this city that has a more rural and bucolic landscape, with rice fields and apple orchards and the trip coincides with a festival that takes place regularly in the village of Kitakami during the season. Because of this, the village will be busy with several street vendors and stalls offering different activities. During the journey, players will make new friends and meet new Pokémon while unraveling the riddles behind the popular stories that have been passed down through the generations in this location involving a legendary creature called Ogerpon.

One of the legends involves the trio of heroes and the region's new legendary Pokémon, Okidogi, Mankidori and Fezandipiti, known as Loyal Three. According to the popular narrative circulating in the city, long ago the three Pokémon played a crucial role in defeating a frightening ogre that used to terrorize the entire island of Kitakami. Okidogi is associated with a dog, Mankidori with a monkey and Fezandipiti, as its name suggests, is related to a pheasant, alluding to the well-known legend of Momotaro from Japanese folklore.

What new Pokémon are confirmed in the expansion?

Sombra, Toxtricity, and Toucannon are Pokémon characters with designs inspired by music and nature.
