Youtube Beta option was released last Wednesday, and Android users can test new features before everyone else. Learn in this tutorial how to be a Youtube Beta Tester

There are many platforms and video sites on the internet, but none of them are as strong as the YouTube. When it was released by Google, the application allowed the act of watching videos to become more dynamic, and since then it has been constantly improving, through a series of changes that have only improved its use.

In the past, all changes to the mobile application were released without being tested by end users, but yesterday (17), the company decided to change once again, and inaugurated the program Beta, that allows users to Android test all the new functions, before other consumers. You don't have to pay anything to get early access to the new features, and you can sign up to be a beta tester quickly. See how:

iPhone

Until the end of this article, users of iOS still not could use the beta program of YouTube, and for now there is no forecast of when the apple company's customers will receive the trial version of the video application.

Google still hasn't disclosed the reason, but as the program started yesterday (17), probably soon the owners of Apple  will be able to register.

For now, only people using the mobile software developed by Google can test the new features, and users of iOS who try to sign up to be Beta will not find the button that allows them to enter the program.

Now if you use Android, you can apply without any problems, and we have prepared a tutorial to help you.

Android

To test the new application functions of the YouTube just sign up for the beta program by going to the Play Store. O Google does not require any payment for you to test the modifications in the application. It only asks for your participation through comments on the page where you download it.

See how easy it is:

First, go to your app store on your cell phone, and look for the YouTube in your search box. Soon after, you just have to scroll down the page and go to the option “Be a Beta Tester”. When you get there, just click on the “Join now” option, and confirm that you really want to test the new functions that are still under development.

Signing up for the Beta program can be done in a few minutes

Wait a few minutes for the company to sign you up for the Beta program, and soon after you can download a new version of the application. We recommend that you close the Play Store and return to the YouTube and that way the download will already be released for you.

Being a YouTube Beta Tester is taking risks

Obviously, testing the new functions of a application ou with first of all is pretty cool, and that's one of the reasons why programs Beta do so much success. But that doesn't mean you'll only receive new improvements, and it's important to say that a new update always brings bugs that can influence how it works.

If you like to have access to new functions and improvements that will only add to the application, the Beta program is a great alternative. But it is important to remember that this is a two-way street, because just as you can test the new functions, you will also access the bugs before all users.

Beta should be open for all operating systems soon

The application YouTube is open beta for all users of Android (at least for now), so the Google you should do the proper tests even on the version that will be tested by a minority of people before.

If you think it's worth taking the risks to gain access to the new features, get started! And in case you find a problem, just flag it in the comments available on the app page. It is important to say that you can exit the test program at any time, and perform the downgrade to the old version quickly.
