Surely you've wondered: with as many features as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, why do I still transfer my songs from PC protocols for phone through cables?
Well, it is with this idea in mind that the creators of Winamp present the WiFi-Sync in your new version of the apps for the computer and the Android smartphones.
How they work is very simple: install them on both platforms, select your phone, and send and receive music files via Wi-Fi, wherever they are stored.
Winamp also does a good job of importing music libraries from iTunes ou Windows Media Player, and can also monitor select folders to check for new files.
.
Installation tutorial:
- Once configured on the computer, install the Winamp on your smartphone and enable wireless sync in your settings.
- Back on the computer, click on the “Devices” menu, and if your PC e smartphone are on the same network Wi-Fi, they will meet very quickly.
- Click connect, authorize the connection on your smartphone and ready! You are connected!
Once connected, you can configure bulk transfers to and from your device, choose which playlists should always be synced, fill your device's free space with podcasts or music, and set the specific encoding for files transferred to your phone.
By right-clicking on your device and then on “Preferences”, you will be able to see all the options, including the settings to automatically synchronize everything you want at predetermined times, or after X hours after the last synchronization .
And of course both programs allow syncing via USB, of course you are, say, nostalgic.
