A LG explained today (29), in his labtech, all about the technologies present in their recent Smart TVs: LG OLEDTV 4K e LG Super UHDTV 4K. The main highlights are: OLED panel, technology pixel dimming, Dolby Vision e Dolby Atmos.
About the difference between LG 4K TV panels

For starters, the panel used in these Ultra HD TVs, like the 86SJ9570 is OLED. In it, blacks are represented more faithfully, since they are made from pixels off (in other panels they are darker shades of gray).
Adding to that, we have the technology pixel dimming, which is only possible on OLED panels. Its function is to allow each pixel to have a individual control of its lighting (it does not depend on the backlight as with LCD screens), thus achieving pure black and perfect colors. In addition, the technology, also used in TV OLED65E7P it also prevents, in images with lighter objects, the entire screen is too bright (“contaminating” objects that should be dark).
LG's OLED panels, like the one used in the OLED55B7P are so good that the technicians at Technicolor use them to calibrate the image of most movies that are shown in movie theaters. It is important to point out that there is no OLED IPS panel, as one choice cancels out the other.

Superior HDR format
All content currently produced is made in HDR10, which is an open format that can be used by many manufacturers. One of the models that uses this technology is the OLED55B6P. However, at LG's Labtech, models were demonstrated LG OLEDTV 4K which, as the name says, uses OLED panel; and LG Super UHDTV 4K that has panel Nano Cell Display, which use the formats Dolby Vision e Dolby Audio.
LG was pioneer in proprietary formats Dolby here in Brazil. While HDR10 supports up to 1.000 nits, Dolby Vision support until 10.000 nits. This results in even more intense colors on OLED TV panels when compared to traditional LCD LED panels. It is worth mentioning that this comparison does not include Samsung's QLED lines.

Moving on to the audio side, 4K OLED TVs continue to amaze. As Dolby Atmos, which is the sound technology surround most advanced in the world, LG's Ultra HD TVs feature multiple channels of audio and discrete speakers. The focus here is unprecedented immersion, with sound based on the idea of “audio objects”.
welcome extras

A LG has been improving its operating system more and more WebOS, which is already great. Currently it is in version 3.5, available only in UHD and SUHD 4K models, as in the 55SJ8000 of the company. It has an extremely beautiful and intuitive look, the system does not disappoint in terms of agility.
To further enhance this experience, LG has the universal remote smart magic, which allows accessing shortcuts with movements (controlling a kind of mouse) or in the traditional way.
LG OLED TV 4K – Model OLED55B7P

With 4K OLED Display, which allows pure blacks and more vibrant colors. It features Active HDR with Dolby Vision and surround sound with Dolby Atmos. The price of it all is R$8999,00, as it brings the best possible movie experience to your living room.
LG Super UHD TV 4K – Model 55SJ9500

With 4-inch or larger 55K Nano Cell display, 10-bit color processing, distortion-free wide viewing angle, Active HDR with Dolby Vision and harman/kardon sound system. With numerous outstanding features, the only defect of this Super UHD TV is the price, which is not as salty as the one above: R$5499,00 (with discount).
In addition to these models mentioned above, LG has two 4-inch 65K TV models (OLED65E7P) And (OLED65E6P). Already with 55 inches it has 3 models with 4K resolution, they are: OLED55B7P; OLED55B6P e OLED65E6P. Still on the list of OLED TVS, but without 4K, we have three more 55-inch models: 55EG9100; 55EC9300 (this one with curved screen) and 55EA9850.
LG's 4K TVs showed what they came for, without a doubt. While not as affordable, they are certainly worth it.
