Twitter launches warning for controversial conversations on the platform

What would these “controversial conversations” look like on Twitter?

Still in the testing period, this new warning will be triggered when you access a topic or conversation that could be considered offensive or, as they say, in a “more negative vibe”. Sensitive topics or topics that could trigger people will display a warning message to anyone who clicks on them. Despite the tests, which are being carried out for implementation in Android e iOS, there are those who say that, if the person is indeed malicious, probably a brief warning about “human values” may not be enough to stop them from distilling any kind of negative message — including direct messages from those involved.

The social network says that the intention behind this new feature about controversial conversations is precisely to try to let conversations, threads (consecutive messages) and topics happen in the most healthy possible. Apparently the feature will be working exclusively for conversations in English, which can be a concern in countries like India, which has communication in several languages, offering an opportunity to circumvent this system with some ease.
