The first Brazilian city that won the cheaper version of Uber it was São Paulo. The city began to rely on the service uberX in June. And even with all the controversy involved with the application, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília will now also have the option.
The difference between uberX and Uber Black is the simpler cars; they do not have to be sedans and can be any color except white or yellow. Precisely for serving with simpler cars, like Honda Fit and Hyundai i30, the races are 20% more into account compared to the traditional version:
Rio de Janeiro
Base rate: 3,00 BRL
KM run: 1,40 BRL
minute traveled: 0,25 BRL
Brasilia
Base rate: 3,00 BRL
KM run: 1,60 BRL
minute traveled: 0,25 BRL
São Paulo
Base rate: 3,00 BRL
KM run: 1,43 BRL
minute traveled: 0,35 BRL
No Uber Black, a base fare of R$5 is charged in São Paulo, plus R$0,40 per minute and R$2,42 per kilometer driven. In Rio de Janeiro, the base fare is R$5, plus R$0,30 per minute and R$2,20 per km; Brasília: R$ 4 base fare, plus R$ 0,35 per minute and R$ 1,95 per KM (the values were readjusted in Brasília). ()
No Federal District there were other news, four more cities in the region will be able to request Uber: Samambaia, Ceilândia, Taguatinga and Sobradinho.
