Between the 9th and 13th of February, the Linaro Connect Hong Kong 2015. The event is organized by Linaro, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing technologies based on ARM processors. The event brings together around 400 representatives from the ARM processor and related industry to discuss engineering, infrastructure and optimizations for Linux, Android, Ubuntu and related platforms.

On the first day of the event, during the opening keynote, George Gray showed a video where the modular device is successfully assembled and booted, loading the Android system. The video below shows the entire opening lecture and the ARA device can be seen from 36 minutes onwards.

In the video you can see each of the modules, screen, camera, data, bluetooth, battery and others. The video suffers a small cut and the equipment is turned on displaying 4 Tux penguins (Linux mascot) on the screen. After another cut in the video we already see the Android system loading the desktop. Gray explains that the idea would be to test it live, but unfortunately the device was out of battery at the time of the presentation. I don't know about you but this seems like an excuse to me, especially after the failed test at Google I/O in 2014, where the device crashed during startup.

Anyway, we can only wait for news on the project. This unannounced appearance of the equipment only reinforces the rumors that in the Google I/O this year we may have good news about ARA. Do you believe in the success of this project? leave your comment below.
