The Void: Theme Park with Virtual Reality Wants to Revolutionize Games

the wave of virtual reality returned with strides. The technology must reach the general market this year, and some projects are already gaining notoriety with very original proposals. One of these projects is the The Void, Theme Park Interactive.

O The Void will be a physical space, a kind gaming center, where the player can enter alone or with friends to interact with a new world. Experiences such as flying planes, fighting dragons, exploring alien bases and experiencing different sensations are all part of the package.

The creators of the project are developing own virtual reality glasses, since, according to them, the systems available on the market are not good enough. O The Void will have a movement monitoring system, a vest with tactile feedback so that players can feel impacts and even virtual creatures, as well as gloves that will have specific commands within the environment.

The team's biggest challenge has been the motion monitoring system, as any delay between the player's actual movement and what he sees can cause nausea and discomfort. Despite the adversities, the expectation is that everything start working as early as 2016 and, from there, an expansion of the project to the whole world begins.

The first rooms of The Void will open in Salt Lake City in Utah in the USA. The developer already works with several game studios to bring the experience to other locations. On the company's website there is information that the "Virtual Entertainment Centers” will be created in major cities across North America, South America, Asia, Europe and Australia.
