For residents of large cities, few apps have become as fundamental to everyday life as Waze. Whether you are a professional taxi driver, or an ordinary citizen, the app it's always a hand on the wheel (almost literally) to deal with traffic efficiently. Now, the competent service provided by the application has just gained one more feature.
This Monday (10th), the company informed that drivers in São Paulo can now count on the help of the Waze to drive also on rotation days. This is because the application will start to trace alternative routes that are outside the restriction zone in which users can travel during the rotation.
According to the statement, São Paulo is the first city in the world to receive this new technology and the idea is that the Waze can learn based on user feedback and soon expand to other cities and countries. With the option, drivers can find, among the various routes that lead to a certain location, those that bypass restriction areas. That way they can avoid headaches with fines and CNH scores.
To add the card in Waze, just click on Menu > Settings > Navigation > Road Restriction. Tap to add the last two plate numbers of your vehicle. Once registered, the Waze will help you automatically navigate around restricted areas. When you drive to a location, Waze will alert you whether your license plate is allowed to drive or not, and you'll find the fastest way around the restricted area.
The new tool is available in application versions for iOS e Android.
