In “liquid times”, as the philosopher Zygmunt Bauman said, nothing is meant to last. Connections come and go and we can clearly see this in a simple application like WhatsApp, where virtual relationships end as quickly as they begin.

Blocking someone on WhatsApp is easy and can be done in a few seconds. Nowadays, if there was a fight between a couple, or between friends, one blocks the other and the relationship is broken. Being blocked is a sign that there has been some disagreement between you and your contact, and it may be possible to reverse the situation. However, you need to find out if you were really blocked or if there is some other complication.
Although the application does not offer an official way to confirm that you are blocked, as this should be a private action for each user, as WhatsApp itself informs by saying: “This information is intentionally ambiguous to protect your privacy when blocking someone”, it is It is possible to follow some steps that show indications that this actually happened. Below you can see a tutorial with some checks that anyone can do to find out if they have been blocked by someone else on WhatsApp.
Online or “last seen” status does not appear:
The first sign of a possible block is that you can no longer see when the person was last online. While the contact you suspect blocked you may have turned off the “Last seen” function, this is the first sign that you may have been blocked.
It is worth remembering that even if the person deactivates the “Last seen” feature, when he is online, WhatsApp continues to indicate this in the conversation window. But if you can't even see it online, we have bad news for you.

Profile picture is not displayed:

The second tip is to check the contact's profile picture. If a gray image appears instead of the profile picture, which represents the default WhatsApp avatar, you may be suspicious!
Of course, it could just be the case that the person in question is still without a photo due to a recent smartphone change. But if allied to this, the phrase in the “Message” field, which was previously called Status, is also not being shown, it is very likely that you have been blocked.
Messages you send are not delivered:

Did you send the message to the contact and only one tick, that confirmation dash, appeared? So, chances are you've been blocked. The first tick displayed means that the message has been sent, while the second one says that the message has been delivered to the contact.
However, to be on the safe side, you can wait a few hours and check again if the second tick appears. It may be that at the time of sending the message, your contact was disconnected or that WhatsApp itself experienced instabilities.
Links are not completed:

If you tried to make a voice or video call to your contact and you couldn't, even if you insisted a few times, it's a sign. If you are blocked, the call will not be completed. You will not notice any difference while making the call as you will be able to hear the call tone but the recipient's phone will not ring. However, as with the previous steps, don't make a hasty judgment. Try recalling at different times.
Unable to see contact Status updates or make payments:

If you know that contact usually posts photos and videos in Status and you are not able to see them, it is reason to be suspicious. Statuses are not available for blocked contacts and you will not be able to see, react or reply to them.
It will also not be possible to make payments to a contact that has blocked you, since the nature of financial transactions within the messenger is to occur between people with close contact.
Unable to add contact to groups or communities:

When trying to add a contact that blocked you on WhatsApp, an error appears stating that the contact cannot be added. In this case, it is interesting to know that the contact may also have configured their account to not allow anyone to add them to groups and communities, but if all other ways have shown signs of blocking, then this is yet another “confirmation”.
Okay, now all you have to do is apply our tips to contacts that you suspect have blocked you. If possible tell in the comments if this step by step was useful for you 😉
