In a way, there are no big changes in the way of sending the image, in terms of taking a photo or choosing files from the gallery. However, just before sending the image, an option with the “HD” symbol will appear at the top of the screen.

How to send photos in high definition by WhatsApp?

WhatsApp: videos snapshots

In recent months, the WhatsApp released other updates. One of them caused confusion among users: the same button that, before, only allowed audio recording, now also serves to record short videos and snapshots.

The novelty divided opinions, but the fact is that the update is an interesting way to record mini videos of up to 60 seconds and share them quickly. Videos will automatically play in silent mode when opened in a conversation. When you tap on the video, the sound will be activated.

To record a snapshot video is simple: Just tap to switch to video mode and hold the button to record video. You can also swipe up to lock and record the video hands-free.

“We think this will be a fun way to share moments with all the emotion that video can convey, whether it's wishing someone a happy birthday, laughing at a joke or sharing news.”

According to WhatsApp, this video message format follows the same application security standard. "Video messages are secured with end-to-end encryption to keep your messages safe," the company states.
