As usual, the Sony Mobile took advantage of the IFA in Berlin to present the new generation of Z-line smartphones. Along with the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet, the company also announced the new Smartwatch 3 and SmartBand Talk wearables, as well as a new entry-level phone, the Xperia E3.
We were betting on the arrival of the new Z line around October and the chance of that happening is great! According to documents found in Anatel, a new batch of Sony devices was approved, which means that they can now be sold in Brazil.
In addition to the IFA releases, it looks like we will have two surprises: the Xperia M2 Aqua and the Xperia Z3 Dual. O Xperia M2 Aqua may arrive as the most affordable waterproof smartphone, while the Xperia Z3 Dual will be able to cater to those who ask for dual-chip support (4G + 2G) on premium devices. The company will also launch the Xperia E3 in two versions: Single-SIM 4G and Dual-SIM 3G. Generally, the Xperia E line has very affordable prices and serves as Sony's entry-level smartphone, which can be good news for those who want to pay little for a 4G device.
Sony has adopted an interesting strategy of launching global devices in Brazil shortly after the global launch. Now, it looks like we will have the full lineup available in Brazil, good news for those who missed the Xperia Z2 Compact this year.
